If Gilberto goes, don't we then need two new central midfielders of quality?

Cesc starts. Plus Diaby backed up with Denilson and.. Song? Or this new fella who's played one first team game and is injured? That's a joke, right?

I'm starting to think something's up. That Wenger 'selling Club' quote still niggles me. Or is there big news on the horizon?

I like Denilson, I think he could have a great season ahead of him. Might be a bit too early to use him as a replacement for Gilberto but I wouldn't be surprised by a Flamini-esque performance from him at all.

And to be fair, Gilberto did look like he might die during some of the performances this year. He's showing the years.

Why?

It's not proven by the figures - £4m net surplus in the last few years worth of transfers. A drop in the ocean given the size of the business. Factor in the fact that out gate receipts are £2-3m per match and it just doesn't ring true for me.

And surely the point would be to bring the wage bill down as well? As we know we are shelling out nearly as much as Man Utd on wages.

Although the loss of Flamini and the sale of Diarra were unfortunate in the same season, Wenger's sales generally tend to be good bits of business. I bet Henry isn't worth £16m now. There is no way Adebayor is worth £20-30m. If Barca or Milan want to pay that for him off the back of one good season, why not take it?

Sad to read about Ray Parlour retiring. There really aren't enough good things you can say about the chap - he was a bloody dynamo, loyal to the end and always incredibly grateful the club and Wenger for the chances he got. Whenever you saw his name down you knew he'd give everything he'd got for the team and it's a real shame some of these Charlie Big Potatoes we've currently got don't learn a thing or two off of him. Three cheers for the Romford Pele.

Yeah, too right.

We could do with a Ray Parlour now, show some of these tossers a thing or two about loyalty, playing for the manager, playing for the club, playing for the fans, instead of thinking you're the dogs bollocks when really all you are is a cunt.

Amazing, especially the 2 woman playing in place of Baptista. I'm crying with laughter here. I'd never heard of these vids before.

I'm the same-only just discovered these. Those two women made me cry actual man tears of laughter. As did this:

Amazing scenes.

Ray Parlour, you cost me my voice for a weekend:

It was worth every scream.

It's more relief than anything really. Surely the longest running player transfer in at Arsenal. It's usually the sales that take long. The buys are quick and out of the blue. We almost took as long to buy him as his mother took to give birth to him.

Anyway i'm pleased. Nasri!

EDIT: He looks like someone famous and I can't think who.
