Personally crouch doesn't get the credit he deserves but that doesn't really suprise me

He's a good player. Underrated by most. But he's not for us, especially at £10m odd.

And as I type I start wondering if maybe he might be :( . He's got half a brain and he's a team player. Possibly an Alan Smith type and we all know how underrated he was outside Highbury.

Amaury Bischoff? Young, unknown and unproven. Would make sense  .

Yeah, makes perfect sense.

I just don't know what to say about this one.

He moved to Bremen in 2005, but has made just one senior appearance for the club against Celta Vigo in the Uefa Cup in 2007.

Surely not a replacement for Flamini?

It's starting to feel like a bit of a piss take. The Nasri transfer is totally off my radar, I couldn't care less now. We'll potentially lose Hleb and Adebayor as well as Flamini and we don't appear to be anywhere near signing anyone. Summer is shit as a Arsenal fan.

There's still ages to go. The time to start worrying is September 1.

Friendlies start in just over two weeks.

We normally have players signed for the start of pre-season training. I think the players are back either yesterday or next Monday and those involved with the Euros get 1/2 weeks extended leave.

It does feel like that. But that is down the bastard media mostly. There are about 100 days between the end of one season and the start of the next. We have bought Ramsey on one of those days. If we are lucky we will buy Nasri on another. And if we are really lucky we will buy someone else on another. A couple of players may also leave. That's 5 days out of 100 when something of note will happen (assuming all the above deals take place on different days). That leaves 95 days for the tabloids to fill with useless shit. 95 copies of The Sun, The Mirror, The Star etc. etc. with nothing but speculation in them.

Summer can feel shit as an Arsenal fan but keep the faith.

And feel the Cesc love:

It was also for the Arsenal fans that have been suffering a lot this year. It is for them,” stated Fabregas.

"Now next year I want to win trophies with Arsenal, this is my target. I finally made something at a young age, I never expected it to be with Spain. Now I want to do it with Arsenal.”

hooray for Daley!

Adebayor and Hleb haven't gone anywhere yet.

And aside from Chelksi, there's been little real transfer movement of note.

So what if friendlies begin in a fortnight? We had Eduardo for pre-season and it still took him a while to adapt.

We need players hitting the ground running from the start of the season. Eduardo is injured, Rosicky won't be ready, Flamini is gone, Vela and the rest are untried. The jury's out on Hleb and Adebayor but I wouldn't put my life on either of them staying.

Maybe you're right, the squad is OK plus we can sign a couple of players for key positions on the Friday night before the first game.

The only way you get players hitting the ground running is by buying established PL players. The chances of Wenger doing this are slim to none. Sometimes, you get a player like Torres or Sagna who looks like they have played for the team for their entire career, but these guys are usually in the minority.

I'd hope not another centre mid. With Ramsey and Bischoff joining the others, I'd say we're set.

Nasri is a nail-on. We still need at least a central defender and personally, I'd like Villa.

Though ideally I'd like Eboue to cunt off, Sergio Ramos in, Akinfeev in, Hleb off, Adebayor off and maybe me, as the new Pires. Or failing that, Pires. Aged 25.

At the moment?

Gilberto, Diaby or Djourou.

Im hoping this will change.

Gilberto - Wasn't good enough last year, wont be good enough this year.

Diaby - Potentially maybe, in real life not sure

Djourou - you can't be serious

They're both attacking midfielders though (so far, anyway) and so are Nasri and Diaby. Totally different role. Djourou is terrible, leaving you with no defensive mids beyond Gilberto and Song - neither of whom appear to be good enough as it is. A quality holding midfielder should be a top priority purchase.

A central midfielder has got to be an absolute must. We've lost Dairra and Flamini in the last six months. To not buy a replacement would be suicide.

I would say a centre back should be a top priority too.

Article and photos in yesterdays Sun on Eduardos progress. Nothing new really but there are some nice pics of him on the beach with his girlfriend.

Also, for some reason, The Sun in it's wisdom have a slideshow of photos of the injury AND of some other horrible injuries; Henrik Larsson, Jimmy Bullard etc.
