I don't think he's moaning, I think he's saying he can understand players moving on when there is an offer of much more money.

Anyway, he can hush his beak until he does a whole season with no injuries.

From the Telegraph..

Nothing on the Arsenal website yet.

If it's correct, I hope it is, surely we'll announce it today or at least tomorrow because if the stories are correct that he came to London to finalise everything after France's friendly on Tuesday night and then get back for their next one on Saturday that leaves yesterday, today and maybe tomorrow latest to get it done.

Good news.

“I am returning to Europe from Brazil at the beginning of August, perhaps even the end of July,” said Eduardo. “Doctors tell me by then I will be fully recovered and able to play football again. I hope so too.

“I’m feeling well and my rehabilitation is going better than I would ever have hoped.”

Good news.

Yeah, saw that earlier :( . Even my kinda anti football missus was pleased. She remembers when it happened and has been rooting for him since. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope he makes it back cos it's still a long road. Jesus, we could do with some good injury news and beyond that I think Eduardo deserves to play again at the top level.

Imagine the first few games back.. Blackburn, Bolton etc. and tackles flying in. I think the mental battle must be immense.

Hleb on the verge of a Barca move it seems... good riddance

What does anyone think of the rumours that we're getting Yaya Toure in a part exchange deal? Maybe just nonsense but I'd be pretty happy, although (seemingly unlike most) I do think Hleb will be a big loss. But if we had Yaya and Nasri coming in that would hopefully go a long way to replacing Flamini and Hleb.

No Nasri this side of the Euros, according to Wenger.

Isn't that a little worrying? I mean, you guys seem to have had the short end of the stick recently with players being a bit mercenary, do you think this could be another one, or do you think his club are holding out for bigger offers?

do you think his club are holding out for bigger offers?

Apparently he's valued at around £12m, a good Euro 2008 and that will rocket to at least £17/£18m and that will be the end of the deal. On the other hand, if he has a stinker, £12m might overvalue him.

I'm sure the player wants to come to Arsenal, but if his club doesn't want to sell yet, what can you do?

Regarding Hleb, he can just fuck off. I don't want to see him in the red & white again. He's trying to act all innocent by remaining silent, but his agent is acting on his behalf and taking the flak for Hleb's actions.

I had respect for players like Overmars who just came out and told the fans that he won all he could at Arsenal and wanted to move on, that's fine, but to do what Hleb's doing is just stupid.

I hope he gets a run out at the Emirates Cup...

I hope he gets a run out at the Emirates Cup...

I think that'll be way too soon. We'll probably see him in about October I reckon. Good to see that video though, but there's still a long way to go from that and to playing in the premier league. Great to just see him on his feet and jumping around and stuff though.

This Nasri stuff is a load of bollocks. Why does it have to be so complicated when we try and buy someone? I hope he wants to come and there's other stuff holding it up, because if it's him wanting to think about it then he can fuck off. These players nowadays are fucking arseholes aren't they? A young french kid being offered a contract at Arsenal, Wenger being the manager, other French players already at the club and this fucker wants to think about it!

Like I said, I hope it's not that and it's maybe his agent being a c*nt or some other hold up and he just wants to sign but he's already pissing the fans off and we haven't even signed him yet.

Wenger said: "Nasri, he interests me. I hope I will do [complete the deal] after the Euros.

"It is more complicated now because the wage differences [between the French and the English league] are not as big as they used to be.

"Just watch [Karim] Benzema. He is 20 and recently signed a new deal.

"It is very difficult [to transfer players from the French league] but England is considered one of the two top leagues and the best players want to play against the best players."

And there I was thinking that a player would jump at the chance to play for a top English club in arguably the best league in the world rather than a half decent French club in let's face it a pretty shitty league.

I read somewhere recently that Benzema is currently on €400,000 a month at Lyon. What kind of money will he demand when he moves?

Same goes for Hleb, he's just getting his agent to look like the cunt while he's pretending he wants to stay. If he wants to go then get as much money for him and find some players that want to play for us.

It must be so frustrating being a manager sometimes when you've got these wankers believing their own hype and on top of that you've got their agents to deal with who are bigger wankers.

ANR

The Nasri deal is 99.9 % completed but the lad will not sign until after Euro 2008.

The Nasri story has, unfortunately, confused millions of cynics because it is a conventional transfer deal which is being conducted within the regulations. What actually happened was something very old-fashioned : Arsene Wenger called the president of Olympique Marseilles to ask if Samir Nasri was for sale. He negotiated a price. And then he got permission to talk to the player. And Nasri wants to play for Arsenal. He has agreed a contract.

I'm still finding it hard to understand why he hasn't signed yet.

Hleb could sign for Barcelona and Yaya Toure could come the other way.

Toure is rated at £8m by Barca and Hleb at £15m by Arsenal.

Yaya Toure is a far better footballer than Flamini. And Barca have already signed Seydou Keita from Sevilla to replace him in the anchor role.

Let's hope he knows something we don't, but if that's correct then we should bite their hand off.

Even more confusion on the Nasri deal from Arseblog:

Update: I have just been reliably informed that Arsene's comments about money were in relation to a separate question asked by journalists about how easy it was to buy players in France these days. It had nothing whatsoever to do with Nasri, and the hold up with the deal is not money related. It has more to do with some legal mumbo-jumbo. So there you go.

I'm bored of the whole thing already.

The Nasri deal is getting on my nerves as it is really dragging on. I'm not so sure if we'll sign him now esp as all the papers are saying after the euros. I'd like the toure/Hleb deal to happen but i can't see that happening either really, i just have a feeling we are gonna get screwed this summer.

Yeah, me too. Every. Fucking. Season :( . We fart arse about and sign cheap players or let our best ones go for fuck all. I mean, surely we must sign someone but if we didn't I wouldn't be surprised. I really wouldn't. I'm fed up with looking at teletext now.

Meh.

Arsene knows.

There's no point worrying about it. We cant judge how well the window has gone until 1 September.

As for Nasri, it does seem protracted, but then I'm trying to think back to how long it took when I last tied up a transfer. Oh, hang on...
