You are completely wrong in so many ways.

Mido's foot was high but there was no intent. It's a harsh red but a definite yellow.

Adebayor is not a prick, he's a superstar in the making. He's a prototype Drogba but in all honesty I think he'll end up a superior player to the Chelsea man. How an Arsenal fan can't see that Adebayor is an absolute weapon is beyond me. How many goals has he so far this season?

As for a world class keeper I hardly think Almunia has let you down. As for a world class striker you have a group of five very good forwards that has only been hampered by Eduardo's injury. Walcott will come good, mark my words. As for a world class winger you might have noticed that Rosicky is a member of your playing squad and when he and Hleb are both fit and playing they are as good as you'll find anywhere.

How an Arsenal fan can have a whinge like the above is unbelievable. The progress your team has made from last season to this season is incredible.

You're not a Gooner then?

Try watching Adebeyor every match. One match he's a fucking machine. Lethal, rangey, full of running and power, deadly and gives mass options. On his off days, like the entire month of February and so far March, he's lazy, arrogant, has a poor finish, touch and final ball and is sullen. He spent 94 minutes last night walking around moaning when he didn't get the pass he wanted. Though to be fair, his marker (not sure who it was) did a terrific job of doing nowt but falling over as soon Ade wnet near him-using his height against him. Don't think Adebeyor was given the benefit of the doubt once last night, but that's no excuse for another awful display from him.

I'd much rather he was a second striker that comes off the bench for us to give new options and ideas in the 60th minute like Bentdner does now. No one will agree with me, but I'd rather have Defoe up front that Ade most days-he's almost guaranteed to score at least 1 in 2 and I never feel confident that Ade will.

Almunia is fine. That's it. Never really lets us down, never really makes himself known. I'd prefer an experienced, established keeper who will shout at his back four and marshall them from behind. I'd kill for Lehmann to be 10 years younger. Or even David James.

Rosicky is my favourite Arsenal player and I'm convinced that he can be the best midfielder in the world. But he's given us nothing this year. And he's not a winger in the Overmars/Pires mould. Hleb is, but until he learns/gets the confidence to shoot, he's not gonna win us championships in the way that Pires did.

Theo will come good. I'm one of the few Arsenal fans I know who hasn't given him stick this year. He's a legend in the making and so long as Wenger gives him his dues, all will be fine.

And yes, we do have 5 good strikers. But I'd rather 2 brilliant ones. RvP is brilliant, but he needs to time to find his feet again. Until then, what do we have? Nothing to compete with Torres, Drogba, Ronaldo or imo Defoe.

I'm frustrated and to an extent, being overly harsh, but I'm so fucked off that we've come this far already and now ready to throw in away because some players don't have the fight in them for a late match in the rain against Boro. We beat the European Champions with efficient, beautiful, deadly football. Last night we would've lost were it not for a lucky goal.

I'm annoyed and lashing out here, but as I was telling a friend last night, I love my football team. Hopelessly, romantically, passionately and desperately and right now some of the players are breaking my heart. And I'm fucked off about it.

No I'm a Liverpool fan that watches as many Arsenal matches as possible as lets be honest, your team plays the best football in the Premier League.

I wasn't sure about Adebayor last season but the progress he's made between then and now is amazing. For such a massive physical specimen he has some neat ball control and he is capable of some sublime finishing. He's still very young but he's on the right path for sure. Compare him to our 'physical' striker Peter Crouch. He's made little progress since joining us and still needs five attempts to score one goal. He does link midfielders into the game but he hardly has the pace or the ability to get out wide and drive inwards like Adebayor does. Hopefully by some amazing twist of fate you'll take over from Wenger and me Benitez. I'll give you £20 million for Adebayor. Deal? :)

Almunia has been very consistant this season and like Reina seems to read the game well, almost acting like a sweeper at times. He'll probably never be rated as world class but few would complain if the bloke actually did decide to play for England. He's currently better than Robinson or Carson for starters.

Rosicky's season has been obviously blighted by injury but he has settled well. It's taken Hleb a while to get to the standard he's at now and I'm sure Rosicky will follow suit. Am I not correct in saying Pires took quite a while to settle into the English game?

Arsenal's destiny is still in their own hands. It doesn't matter that you drew with Middlesboro. Beat Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea and you could well win the ultimate double. Simple as that. At least Wenger has taken you from the inconsistant team of last year and turned you into a side that is genuine contenders for club footballs two biggest prizes.

Yeah, we do play the best football in the league. And on our day, we play the best football in the world. I was watching a Spanish League match the other day and it was awful, truly lame football and only made me realise how brilliant we can be.

But that's the problem, can be. Now I'm not expecting miracles. I don't expect us to win every match and do so easily with sweeping flair and grace. But of late in the league some of the players have shown no grit, or failing that, not enough natural talent to win matches with the flick of a boot. And that's pretty much it for me: some players sulk and expect things to happen for them when things aren't going right. Thierry is the biggest culprit in the game for this-he used to sulk and moan like a spoilt child when things went wrong for him, but I let him do it. I forgave every shrug of the shoulder, every nonchelant attempt for the ball, every slovenly jog and every wayward pass because he was Thierry Henry. He could win matches quicker than the blink of an eye. He was 10 yds quicker physically and mentally then anyone else in the League and he scored for fun. Literally. Does Adebayor give us that? No. Will he? Maybe. But right now what we need is a leading man to take the team, the game and our form by the scruff of the neck and sort it out. How many times does Gerrard bail you guys out when you need someone to? How many vital goals does he provide when you really need them? But how often should you be in that position anyway? The last 4 weeks in the League have been dismal. I can pick on individuals and if I'm honest, Ade's woeful performance yesterday was the one that stuck out, but I could give Eboue as much grief, Hleb for not shooting again, Wenger, for picking the wrong players at the wrong time or fuck it, even the bastard crowd (where was everyone yesterday?) but Ade got my goat first.

I still think we'll win the league. I now think we're genuine contenders for the CL as well, and in May, I may well be begging the good Lord Bergkamp for mercy for being so angry at the club, but right now, sitting in my Arsenal shirt in a hostel in Singapore I'm still fuming about the Boro game and desperately loving my team for all it's faults, foibles and peerless talent.

But all I wanted last night was a leader, some spirit and a real passion for 3 points when we really needed it and what I got was half a team of slovenly, tired fools who's sole idea all game seemed to be narrow balls in front of the defense. We looked like last year's team again and after the progree of the San Siro game I wanted and expected better.

As for the players you mentioned. Yes, I'd probably have Almunia in the England team. If James was injured.

'sicky is always injured and it always seems to be an excuse. Next year is make or break, but by god if he makes it then we'll be unstoppable. He's a ferocious talent.

As for Pires, I don't think it took him that long, but all I rember are the good times. And my god they were good.

You can have Ade for 25, but you've got to have Eboue as well. How's that sound?

To be fair Henry is a bit of a one off in recent times and the only Premier League player I can see that some day might just play in a similar manner to Henry is Ryan Babel. Obviously Babel is nowhere near the level of the Arsenal legend but I see a few similarities in the way they play the game. Walcott looks sort of similar as well but I can honestly say I just haven't saw enough of him yet. Blatantly has pace and skill to burn though. Adebayor is a totally different type of player and his physical presence opens up new options over the way your team played in the Henry years. As for your leader / Gerrard type figure it's obviously Fabregas but he's been flogged to death this season and who could blame him for being tired. He's still only a kid though so scarily he can get better. Personally as an outsider looking in I'm still slightly puzzled why Gallas is your captain. I never thought of him as captain material before the season started and I'm still not convinced now. But then again who else could be captain? It would be unfair to put even more pressure on Fabregas but he's nailed on to be captain someday.

If I have to take Eboue with Adebayor then I want £10 off the £25,000,000 fee and you have to take Riise.

That's so true, and the best way I've ever heard it put. I remember how he used to stroll, literally stroll toward the action, not running until the last possible second, while I was shrieking at the television for him to move his fucking arse. And the uber-gallic shrug he used to give when he had blatantly dived - the best player in the world, he should have been above that. And the way he got really stroppy with the young 'uns in his last season as captain.

I'd still have him back though. We don't need him now but I'd love for him to pop over every now and again, remind us of how football can be played.

Thanks, I think. I remember when I used to write things for money. Not about football mind, but there's an idea. Good times them, though. Now I just shout at the TV or in the terraces. Or stay up until stupid hours in Asia watching the football and having a pop at the team on here.

For Vezna: yeah, Cesc is our leader/Captain of the Fans. Thing is, he's still not finished and doesn't pop up in those games where we need a goal. And it's frustrating, especially as I know in the next few years he will be. Gotta love him though. What a bastard talent he is. I'm just a bit agrieved that he's not giving us that extra edge now and impatient with him because of it. Which is selfish and pathetic, but I'd kill for a meaningful trophy this year, God knows we deserve it.

Gallas: fuck knows. No one I knows thinks it was the right decision and many of us believe that it was done to keep him happy after the summer when he was shouting his mouth off. It should be Kolo. For now. Then Cesc when he's ready for it. But truth be told, I don't think we've had a real captain since Tony (Adams) retired. Fuck I love that man. I really do. Desperately so. I'm getting mournful now. I want my Invincibles back. I blame the rum.

Edit: Oh and can we have Babel please? Add that to the list of transfer fuck ups of the last ten years. The last I heard he was nailed on as a signing and then he pops up in a Mugsmasher shirt. We (collectively) we gutted. He's awesome. Keep hold.

And I'll take Riise. He's scored bobbins all year, but shit, to have the option would be nice. Even if he is ginger. Deal!

Well i went on Saturday, it was dead in the atmosphere until we scored, the referee was awful, some of the worst decisions i've ever seen, Adebayor was not offside when he scored either.

It's so frustrating to think we'll probably end up trophieless now because of our last few games

Former Arsenal winger Robért Píres has said that he is not interested in playing for Tottenham should the London club make an offer for him.

Píres' contract with Villareal is up at the end of the season.

There have been rumours that Spurs would attempt an approach for the Frenchman, but Píres categorically said that he was not interested in such a thing.

Píres said: "Is it a joke? They must have forgotten where I come from."They can make the offer, but I won't play for Tottenham. Seeing myself wearing their shirt would be weird, after the six years I spent at Arsenal.

"If they are interested that's encouraging regarding my age, they can make the offer.

"I understand Villarreal's position because the end of the season is fantastic to experience because we are third and my situation is secondary.

"I don't worry and I think they'll propose me something because they haven't told me that they don't want to continue, unlike Pascal Cygan, who has been told he'll not stay.

"There are priorities in life and I'm relaxed, waiting for them to tell me good news. I'm just trying to play well until the season ends and we'll discuss at some point.

"I can sign wherever I want right now and of course I have been contacted (by other clubs), but Villarreal remain my priority and I'll take a decision when I'll know what they want to do.

"I don't forget the financial effort they made when they signed me and the fact they waited for me to return from a seven-month absence due to injury."

Well done Bobby.

Would be great if he came back to Arsenal, can't see it though. :)

The reason you might end up tropieless is because your squad is too small. United had similar blip towards the end of last season when injuries stacked up and we didn't have the players to cover.

I don't think Wenger expected (realistically) to do this well so soon and was probably trying to build a squad that would challenge next year. Despite the fact you've only lost one game this season it is (as with Liverpool) all the draws that are causing the problems.

Either way it's looking like one hell of a run in!

True, many people said we'd be mid table remember. We do have holes in certain places, especially if our midfield gets injured

Gilberto is not capable of filling Cesc Or Matty's boots this season!

This is really must win isn't it, I can't believe it's come down to this after our five point lead, I can't help but think that the Birmingham game killed us off...

Still I am confident we can get a result at Chelsea, even if their home record is impeccable, and I don't doubt we can do over Liverpool and United, but if we draw anymore games I don't think it will matter.

Come on the arse!!

Birmingham game for sure, Middlesboro as well. Still got Champions League to look forward to, I still believe we can maximum points from our remaining games, but I don't think it will be enough.

a fat lady, singing this afternoon.

actually, she opened her set at st. andrews. if we'd won that game after losing eduardo, going one down and having young theodore save the day it would have been a massive mental boost. instead we fucked it in the last minute and gallas gave us our very own 'i'd loov it' moment.

but if you'd gone to me in august and told me we'd only surrender top spot in late march, i'd have lolled you right out of town. it's still been a great season, make no mistake.

Gunners robbed again. Equalizer was offside.

How many points have Arsenal lost purely on wrong refereeing decisions in the past month? It's at least 6 (as in, that's the absolute mininum you could reckon it at).

I'm furious and I'm not even a Gooner.

I know it's a joke! We've had a terrible run of bad luck the past 5-6 games and tbh it has cost us the title.

Boys, terribly disappointed but it is far from over. Beat Liverpool and beat Man U and we're right back in it. It really hurts at the moment after 4 draws and a loss but we can still do it. Who thought we would get to the champions league final when we did? We were written off at the beginning of the season and look where we are now.

Do me a favour - if you're at the upcoming games remind the boys how proud you are of them, not how hurt you are at the recent results. We can do it and the season is far from over. Come on you gooners.
