Arsenal

Great, so we we play a stupid friendly behind closed doors 2 days after we play Milan and lose both Theo and Diaby. And RvP is likely to miss the Wigan game as well. What the fuck.

Seriously, what in the name of arsefucking Horace was Arsene doing letting them play a friendly so close to a grueling CL match. This is the kind of stupid shit United do, not us, particularly given how threadbare the squad's looking.

Mourinho in "i'm still a cunt, remember me, look here I am, don't forget about me, over here" shocker:

Jose Mourinho has taken an almighty pop at Arsene Wenger, claiming the Frenchman has it easy at Arsenal.

"Arsenal is a unique team," Mourinho told Gazzetta Della Sport. "Their coach hasn't won anything for years and is still an idol. There is no pressure at Arsenal. But do not say he is growing young players into talents. What he does is take young players who are jewels and polishes them. It's different. He has time to work in a serene atmosphere and get results."

While the accusation is not new, the previous diatribes occurred when the two mangers were in direct competition and thus interpreted as a 'mindgame' ploy by the Special One to ratchet up pressure on Wenger. That Mourinho felt compelled to put Wenger back in his sights even at a time when he is out of the game indicates that the antipathy between the pair - who fell out spectacularly three years ago when the then Chelski boss branded Wenger a "voyeur" - still lingers. Either that or Mourinho genuinely believes that the Arsenal manager lives in a comfort zone at the Emirates Stadium.

I can't wait to see how he does at his next job.

I know. Its the equivalent of repairing a Formula 1 car to compete in an important event, only for someone to stove it into a tree whilst nipping out to get some milk from the local shop the day before the race. Sort of.

That Shogun/Shogizzle/Mr Bada-BING dude is a LEGEND. He supports Rangers too :P

He actually really knows his shit.

Kiddies, you need to sit back at home, you need to SEE... watch this battle. I'm tellin' you right now. Barry Ferguson, number 6, Rangers FC, takin' on Diego, Werder Bremen, number 10. That is gonna be a midfield battle for the ages. I can't fucking WAIT. Ha, Rangers right now, we're doin' our thing, baby. 'Bout to go and get me some hot cocoa, put it in my belly, then find me some hot cocoa and put it in my bed. We're still partyin', we're still celebratin'. RAAAAANGEEEERRRSSSSS! THERE'S ONLY ONE NACHO NOVOOOOOOO!

Well that was the complete opposite reaction to what i had predicted! We didn't seem that bothered and the pitch didn't help. It's a shame we have so many injuries as we could've really done with walcott or rosicky today. It was nice to see Robin van Persie back though.

If we lose the league by a few points then we can thank the games against Birmingham, Villa & Wigan. I don't understand what we are playing at, but we've probably just thrown the league away :P How can we raise our game against Milan and then blow 2 points against a shitty Wigan team? It's baffling. Yes, the pitch was atrocious, but that doesn't excuse the complete lack of effort from most of the players yesterday. They didn't seem bothered! Pathetic.

Rosicky needs to pull his finger out, been injured for nearly 2 months now isn't it? We looked bad yesterday, Adebayor should have rounded the keeper instead of blasting it at Kirky

I'm not liking Adebayor at the moment, he seems to be acting like a bit of a twat.

Why was it that he didn't lob Kirkland when he had a chance when the keeper/defender got mixed up, what did he think he'd achieve by attempting to blast it through 4 players? Idiot.

Hmm, i'm a big Ade fan, but you can't whack all the pressure on his shoulders. He's won us alot of games this season.

The sooner him and RVP click again the better.

I'm going on Saturday though for my monthly game. Hopefully we can batter them

New Kits for next season?

http://www.epltalk.com/

eh? but no but... how manys that in the last 3-4 seasons?

The redcurrant for the last season at Highbury, and the calligraphy top for the first two at the emirates, and now this?

ps. wiki says the fans don't like tops without the white bits:

The first was 1966–67, when Arsenal wore all-red shirts;[17] this proved unpopular and the white sleeves returned the following season. The second was 2005–06, the last season that Arsenal played at Highbury, when the team wore one-year commemorative redcurrant shirts similar to those worn in 1913, their first season in the stadium. The club reverted to their traditional colours at the start of the 2006–07 season.

The home kit looks like a V neck and the away kit a round neck.

Aren't they normally the same?

At least it's a return to a Yellow away kit, even though I didn't mind the White kit.

Didn't actually know what this meant - Victoria Concordia Crescit, Victory comes from harmony.

Very Arsene Wenger.

The white kit will go to our 3rd kit (eg never worn lol)

As far as kit changing, it's now a rule to have the shirt in use for at least two seasons except for when it's a special edition shirt, eg the Redcurrent, Man Utd Busby Babes.

Isn't that home shirt very similar to a shirt from a few seasons back?

It's similar to the Dreamcast one in my eyes

This one?

Apart from the neck it's almost identical. What can you do with a red top with white sleeves? It could be worse. Newcastle's kit launches must be thrilling occasions. "Hooray, it's black and white stripes!".
