interestingly, adebayor went to give bendtner a hug at the end (he'd been substituted) which he kind of shirked off and walked away from. whilst the team were having their huddle in the centre circle, bendtner skulked off to the changing room on his own. not good.

barton got donkey's abuse (and rightly so). starting 'you're getting bummed in the showers' ringing around block 6 was fun.

Really? That's a bit shit. When he set Fab up for the third, Bendtner, Fab and Ade all seem to have a nice embrace; smiles all round kind of thing and Ade seemed to be saying something to Bendtner which I'm sure was positive.

A bit of shame that the big kid feels like sulking.

But that's kind of the point isn't it? Bendtner is a kid. He's only 19. Massive amounts of pressure on someone that age really. Don't know how well I (or many of us) would have coped with it.

I hope he will grow out of it, he looks absolutely mustard.

Agreed, it all seemed like heartwarming stuff - a real shame if that's not the case. Brilliant control then ball from Bendtner, Fabregas' movement around him was, as always, genius. He rarely kills himself to get anywhere, he just sort of trots around. A bit like a Shetland pony.

Watched the game last night on football first, and I thought Flamini was absolutely fantastic, he was everywhere and to cap it off scored a superb goal. Surely one of the best perfomances of the season for us. Is he now our player of the season so far?

I thought Cesc looked good too, lots of nice touches, had a hand in the first goal with that nice little touch to put Flamini through, passed to Flamini for his goal and then got on the scoresheet himself. Hleb looked good too, made things look effortless, Newcastle couldn't get near him. The defence did well, yeah that includes Senderos, and what can you say about Adebayor? he's on fire isn't he?

I said a few weeks ago when we were in a bit of a 'dodgy' patch that we need big players to step up and it seems Ade and Flamini are doing just that, Cesc and Hleb seem to slowly be getting back to how they were before their injuries and Gallas, Sagna and Clichy are as solid and reliable as ever.

We need these guys to continue improving and doing the business and others like Englands number 1, Eduardo, Senderos, Bendtner, Diaby and RVP, if he's still alive, to lend some support.

If this happens it could be an intersesting next few months.

Oh, and Wenger, get Flamini to sign a new contract asap please.

Oh, totally agree. When I called him a big kid I meant it in the most literal terms - tall young lad.

Re Sagna and Clichy, I think they are the best full backs in the league, no question.

The look of surprise on his face when Flamini scored was a sight to see - after all other long range shots had gone high, wide and handsome last night in the swirly wind.

I got the impression that most of the crowd don't know the new songs yet so they are not particularly effective. Anyone know the Clichy one which seemed to be emerging?

Gael Clichyyyyyyyy Gael Clichy...

You're better than Ash a Ley

You should have been number 3.

Gael Clichy, Gael Clichy.

Philippe Senederos tra la la la la

Adebayor... Adebayorrrrrrrrrrrrr, give him the ball... and he will score!

Cheryl Tweedy Is our mate, is our mate... she hates Ashley.

Billy Gallas is our mate, is our mate. Billy Gallas is our mate, he hates Chelsea

They were the ones i heard last night that i've never heard before.

Also lots of obvious ones aimed at Barton.

Flamini was superb last night but for me Clichy has been our player of the season so far. Consistently brilliant. It seems like nobody is safe coming down our left side, Clichy seems to just appear from nowhere and win the ball and burst forward. Cesc was on fire earlier and is playing well again, Adebayor is banging them in and Sagna is solid but Clichy has been awesome all season.

Sagna was just a genius signing by Wenger. An incredible player who took no time at all to fit in not only to the English game but our game.

Absolutely. 99.9% of Arsenal fans didn't even realise we needed a right back, let alone go and buy one for 6 or 7 mill.

The best thing I can say about that signing is that I didn't know we needed a right back until I saw Sagna play.

EDIT: If anyone is wondering why me and Lucky often post the same thing it's because we are brothers, not psychic!

Hang on, did you watch Eboues defensive game last season? I don't deny Sagna wasn't a brilliant signing though.

Yeah, I see what you're saying but we needed players all over the place last summer and I didn't imagine for a minute that Wenger would go and spend that amount of money on a right back when we had Eboue and Hoyte as cover.

2/1 Nobody.

3/1 A 16 year old nobody has heard of.

8/1 Someone French.

20/1 Someone over 25.

50/1 Someone over 30.

100/1 Someone who is ready to play and doesn't need to adjust to the English game or wait for their balls to drop first.

500/1 Darren Bent for £16m. Nobody would pay that much right?
