I think Clichy deserved man of the match he played really well.

There are times when he makes it look so easy. I think he's better than Cole by a reasonable margin and seems like a nice bloke too.

Bit of a niggly game yesterday but enjoyable, obviously  . Flamini worked his bollocks off, as did Adebayor IMO. Hleb and Cesc were effective without being on top form.

Apart from the Shevchenko shot which he flapped away, Almunia was brilliant. England's number 1 indeed.

Still not sure how SWP missed that chance but I think we deserved the three points overall.

MOTD the day was hilarious last night, did anyone see it? We had a 3 on 2, a 4 on 2 and a 5 on 2 in the second half, not sure how we managed to miss them all. Hansen was getting very excited.

I had a feeling on Friday afternoon that both games yesterday would have the same score as last year. So I stuck a fiver on a double, 1-0 to Man Utd and 1-1 in our game. It would have been about £200 but I have never been so pleased to lose a bet.

Very enjoyable game and a very satisfying result.

Flamini was excellent, as was Almunia, Clichy and Gallas. As the Dude said Hleb and Cesc were effective without being on top form and it was a lot better from Adebayor. RVP looked sharp and not like he's been out for 2 months at all, looks like he's ready to carry on where he left off.

The tackle by Eboue, yeah he left his foot in and yeah sometimes he dives and pisses the Arsenal fans off with his shenanigans, but how about Terry's foul on Cesc? These things happen and it works both ways, if you're gonna give it you've got to take it.

Oh and well done to Cesc for giving that tosser Cole a little kick at the end, didn't he say some shit about Cesc in his rubbish book?

"Overrated" said Cole.

"Have that you cunt" said Fabregas as he took both his legs from behind in the 91st minute yesterday.

Seeing Gallas (goal) and Clichy (man of the match) being interviewed together after the game makes you realise what a good deal we got from Cole

You're spot on with that, just makes you realise that we didn't do too bad out of that mess that that wanker Cole forced on us. Clichy is a better player and as for Gallas, he could prove to be a big big player for us this season.

There's a long way to go but a lot could depend on players like Gallas, Cesc, Hleb, RVP and Flamini.

We needed that result. Had forgotten how odious Chelsea FC and the majority of their fans are. Seemed harsh to disallow the Adebayor "goal". Also they never put the extra time up at the ground so it was all very odd at the end - Cesc rolling around then Cole falling poleaxed and suddenly it was game over.

Disallowing that Adebayor goal was bullshit. Ben Haim is a terrible defender who simply got himself into a mess against a player who even John Terry describes as his hardest opponent last season. If we'd conceded I would have been livid at that decision.

Gallas already is our biggest player this season.

Without his goal, we would have got 1 point yesterday. I don't propose to recount all his goals, but he has earned us a fair few points this season.

He's imposed a will to win on the team and I love seeing him bellowing at his teammates and spurring them on.

He's a lot better than Henry was in the role.

Agreed totally, even with all the good stuff from Cesc, Hleb and RVP etc. there's no doubt in my mind that without a leader like Gallas we would not be in with a shout of achieving big things this season.

If ever there was a player who leads by example and shows what leading from the front is all about then Gallas is exactly that.

I've said it on here before, Wenger making Gallas the captain was an absolute masterstroke, as good a decision as he's ever made, and we all know he's made a few pretty good decisions in his time.

Shame Theo's got a belly ache and can't play.

Starting 11?

--------Fabianski

J Hoyte - Song - Phil - Traore

Gibbs - Diarra - Denilson - Diaby

Bendtner - Eduardo

Still good enough to win, and gives everyone a rest for the game against the scum.
