Personally I feel walcott should definately start on sun, whether its on the right with hleb in the hole or up front i don't really mind but he has to start over eboue! I'm glad Rosicky was rested for the most of the match, it means he'll be fresh and raring to go on sunday ;)

I actually thought Eboue had a good game. His flick on the line and subsequent shot was audacious and his chip though to Bendtner for the final goal was brilliant. Not my favorite player by any means but I see why Wenger persists with him.

Henry's missing Arsenal.

Thierry Henry admits he's struggling to find his place at Barcelona, it has been revealed.

AS says the French ace has confessed to his former Arsenal team mates that he's finding it difficult to make his mark both on the field and in the Barca dressing room.

He is missing the 'family' atmosphere at the Gunners and also struggling to adjust to the less fluent way Barca play. Henry is sad about his situation and has reportedly admitted to ex-Arsenal team mates he gets depressed when thinking back on his time in London.

Henry penned a four-year deal with Barca in the summer.

A bit sad really and I've got to admit that I do feel a bit sorry for him, but when you look at how we've started the season and what little impact Henry has had at Barca it just underlines that Wenger was 100% correct and picked just the right time to let Henry go and move the team in this new and so far devastating direction.

Makes all the 'experts' who said we were fucked look a bit stupid.

Also reminds us, the fans, that we should trust Wenger 100% and not worry about any decisions that he makes as he has again proven that when it comes to managing players and a football team/football club he is nothing short of a genius.

Wenger knows!

Wenger is on another planet:

Did they bollocks! They 'produced' Wallcot by buying a proven player from a lower division club. He isn't a 'product' from their academy.

Arsenal have produced other England talent through their academy though. Often they don't break into the first team but Ashley Cole, Bentley and I guess Pennant are all current or potential England players and have come through the Arsenal youth system.

Edit: Can't believe I'm defending the Arse

Not me. I'll always remember his time at Arsenal. He's in the top five all time greats at our Club and he put a smile on my face on a weekly basis. I'll always be grateful for that. But I'm now seeing him as a bit of smug cunt and a Billy Big Bollocks. He had it all here, it's a shame it's only now that he fully realises it. I couldn't care less whether he makes it at Barca, to be frank.

Also reminds us, the fans, that we should trust Wenger 100% and not worry about any decisions that he makes as he has again proven that when it comes to managing players and a football team/football club he is nothing short of a genius.

Too true. Watching the team in midweek makes you realise just how amazing Wenger is. The look on his face every time we scored was priceless. Not smug, not over excited, not expectant. Simply a subdued smile, a look of gratification. Brilliant.

Guys, watch the goals again. A couple of them were unbelievable. Hleb was stunning.

I missed this match, where can I see the goals?

He wasn't proven then and he's still not proven now. I still don't think he'll make it at Arsenal.

Absolutely. Of course there was all the personal stuff happening in the background and he will undoubtedly be missing his kid. I would have thought though by now there was enough experience from other Arsenal players of old (Overmars, Petit etc) for the current players to realise the grass is not necessarily greener in the glamour leagues of Spain and Italy - much more intrusion into personal life etc etc

There are a number of English players in the premiership who have come through the Academy - Sidwell, Harper (Reading) Muamba (Birmingham), as well as many in the lower leagues. It remains true that to date very few players leave the club and go on to better things in their career (Andy Cole being the major exception I suppose but he barely featured).

Good to see Pires pulling the strings at Villareal though.

Hate to be the one to ask, buy are there any season ticket holders who aren't going to the Man Utd or Wigan game? I'm finding it impossible to get anything through Red Membership this season. PM me if so.

Cheers fellas.

Good luck with getting something for Man U. If I can't attend in future I will let you know.

I usually tape home games which are live on TV but on Tuesday I forgot to do so. Thankfully I got back in time to see the highlights on ITV and recorded the goals then. It was stunning football, particularly the 3 goal period in the second half.

Finally, can I recommend Xavier Rivoire's biography of Wenger which has been translated into English. Its not a blow by blow account by season but rather two extended essays on the period before Arsenal and with Arsenal. It gives a very good picture of the man, who must be one of the most knowledgable about the sport on the planet.

Can't wait for Sunday now.

1. Tell me about it. I only ask as the Ticket Exchange is being well ropey for me and there's always someone who can't make a game for any particular reason.

2. Oooooh, got a link for that on amazon or summat? Need a new book.

Just having a quick think then can any of you Arsenal fans think of a player who have done better since leaving Arsenal while Wenger has been in charge? They never seem to reach the levels they did at your club from the ones I can think about.

I do feel for Henry a bit but in a way it's a good warning to the squad that the grass isn't always greener.

I'm not sure if this is a good time to be playing Liverpool or not really. I suppose we will see on Sunday. I'm nervous already. And it's Thursday.

I'm not totally sure he wanted to leave for football reasons, it certainly seems that his split from his partner made it easier to go than stay. So I do feel a bit sorry for him.

That said I sold him more or less straight away on Football Manager...and usually for a number starting with a 3...so that made the decision to sell him a lot easier. I was still quite concerned that no-one was brought in to replace him (and I still sort of think there is room for another striker...) but it does seem to be working well enough for now.

In fact if the table stays exactly as it is at the moment, that'd be perfect. Tottenham and Bolton down, Chelsea outside Europe and Arsenal top. Perfick.

I feel sorry for Henry, he was a great servant to the club and i watch barca to see how he's getting on. He has gone to a club where he isn't the talisman and i guess that must be wierd for him after so many years of being the man.

I'm not sure whether its a good time to play liverpool either and i'm very nervous, more so than i am about man utd, although that's probably because i'll be watching it with my liverpool supporting brother

I know we shouldn't get too carried away by one performance but why do think he's not going to make it at Arsenal?

Occasionally he'll get lucky by actually finding someone in a red shirt (like in the Bolton game & Tuesday) but he's clueless. I don't mean to sound harsh, but I'm normally a very good judge of a player and I think Theo is just someone that will occasionally do something good but frustrate the shit out of us the rest of the time. He's very indecisive which causes most of his problems. Anelka was a selfish ruthless bastard but he was/is damn good, Theo needs a bit of that in him. Theo needs to knuckle down and stop hesitating and worrying about giving the ball away, because when you do that, you give the ball away like he does so often.

I really hope I'm wrong, but I just have this strong feeling that he will never be as good as everything thinks he will be. That's just my opinion....

Adebayor is not a goalscorer and he's never going to get a lot of goals. Players like Owen, Henry & Fowler are natural goalscorers, you can't teach what they can do as it's natural to them but with Adebayor he's a lost cause. Shame really as he does link up well with Henry but he's just not going to score goals so what's the point of him being there?
