Diarra could prove to be a very shrewd buy by Wenger, especially if it's true that we paid only £2mill

Well it is true as wenger said it. I do believe that diarra will ultimately be cecs' partner with the others rotating depending on the sort of game we're playing i.e if we play a top side diarra will likely play but if we play a more defensive side then diaby or denilson will come in as they have more attacking flair than diarra even though they are good defensive players.

Very, very impressive. You're playing the best footy in the country at the minute and I'm starting to think you could go all the way this year. I'd just like to point out that I predicted you'd be the surprise package of this season back in the summer.

Hopefully it'll be a good game without controversy on Sunday. We'll do well to beat you considering the way you're playing, even at Anfield. Whoever wins the midfield battle wins the game IMO. With that in mind, I'm praying we'll have Xabi back in time and he's fit enough to last the full 90. And I'm worried about what your energizer bunnies will do to poor old Sami if given the chance. We should have Torres back, though, which will be a boost and it'll be interesting to see if your defence can cope with him. Man, this is going to be a test.

Yes, should be a great game. Especially, if like you said, some of your top lads get back in time for it.

I'm glad to see that i am being proven wrong about Theo. A bit of confidence and he seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds. I'm even more pleased to be proved right about Hleb. I have always been a fan and I just think he looks to be getting better and better. Just like most of the team really.

Oh, and Lehmann is a total tool. Bye Bye Jens!

Well last night was alright. :(

Walcott to start on Sunday? He looked well up for it. Well, once he scored he did. I don't think he touched the ball before that.

I wonder if Wenger will go 4-5-1 on Sunday if he decides not to play Walcott. A midfield of:

Rosicky-Gilberto-Cesc-Flamini-Hleb could be interesting.

or if he's feeling really brave:

Rosicky-Hleb-Cesc-Flamini-Eboue

Walcott looked so much better playing the down middle. We were all willing him to get his hattrick but their keeper pulled off a fine stop to deny him.

Hleb and Flamini were great and Sagna and Clichy were legendary again.

I thought we lost a bit of shape after the substitutions, but at 6-0, it doesn't really matter does it.

Bill big-bollocks Bendtner didn't look too clever. He worked fairly hard, but he has no pace, and maybe he's too eager which is why he keeps fluffing it?

Another below par performance from Adebayor. Played like a donkey all night.

Last night was just different class, so many positives to take. What more can we say?

Moving on to Sunday it'll be interesting to see if Wenger goes for a 4-5-1.

Flamini/Gilberto

Hleb - Cesc - Diaby - Rosicky

Adebayor

Wonder what the scousers would make of that.

Can you leave Walcott out though now he seems to be finding his feet? Also will he ever play out wide again as it seems Wenger has decided the time has come to play him down the middle?

If we go for a 4-4-2

Hleb - Cesc - Flamini - Rosicky (surely Eboue wont start ahead of Rosicky)

Adebayor - Walcott/Eduardo

As much as I would like Walcott to play, the 4-5-1 looks a bit better to me. I would be happy with a point to be honest but the 4-5-1 looks very solid and also going forward could be very dangerous what with Hleb, Rosicky, Diaby and Adebayor with Cesc pulling all the strings.

Jens is really starting to wind me up now...

Almunia has not yet showed that he can win matches for us

Erm, maybe not. But you are the useless twat who has LOST lots of games for us.

I've experienced this situation before and know what the others are expecting from the goalkeeper. I can't imagine he'll be able to handle that.

Nice, thats a great bit of team spirit. Cock.

fucking nutjob:

"It could be that at some point I feel like commenting on the whole issue," he said. "But right at the moment I just accept everything as part of the humiliation. You have to let it happen. But I think - and this is directed towards my dear coach - that you should not humiliate players for too long. I am an Arsenal player and I will not just fade away quietly."

no seriously, he's off his trolley:

"Wenger has spoken of three world-class goalies. I guess I must be one of them. The others have proven their class by winning titles? I'm just thinking about it, and I can't recall any. But yet today they are considered world class."

Wenger's response:

"There is no purpose to humilate anybody. I have said many times that I respect him a lot.

"That is how he experiences things, but that is not my purpose at all. We have had chats about that already. I do not know how and why this has come out.

"I have not read what he has said and do not give too much importance to that".

I'll be shocked if he ever plays for us again.

It's a shame really as it didn't need to end like this, he could have left and been remebered as a nutter who was probably the best keeper in the world for a year or two during his time at Arsenal, instead of a nutter who went completely nuts and started talking a load of bollocks.

Wenger is on another planet:

Gunners boss Wenger said: "You complain you don't have many strikers and accuse Arsenal of not producing enough England players - Theo is one of them.

Did they bollocks! They 'produced' Wallcot by buying a proven player from a lower division club. He isn't a 'product' from their academy.

You're right Walcott isn't a product of Arsenal's academy as such, but I wouldn't say we bought a proven player, not by a long way. I would say we bought a raw, potentially great player, and it's now down to Wenger and the Arsenal system to turn him into a great talent.

If last night is anything to go by then Wenger is doing something right and Walcott is heading in the right direction.

He was a great talent already and although not proven at the level of the Premiership, he was a regular in the Saints 1st team. No doubt he has improved since moving to Arsenal, any player would when working day in day out with many quality players, but he was not exactly 'raw'.
