I had a fiver on Toure too. 3 points and a winning bet, don't get better than that.

I really hope Bolton go down. Horrible team to watch, no surprise they had half their seats empty. Who would want to watch that every week?

Banner was good, hope Jabba gets the message. Walcott and Rosicky were excellent when they came on.

Amusing to see Adebayor reverting to his usual self. Beats the keeper, then knocks it too far and falls on his arse!

Sagna and Clichy were immense. Eduardo looked a bit lost and I didn't think Cesc played as well as he has done lately (still good though). Eboue was cobblers. Waste of space. Cant defend and yesterday his passing and shooting were rubbish as well.

Hleb had a decent match and Walcott and Rosicky looked great when they came on. Walcott with 2 assists in his last 2 games looked much more confident and decisive.

Bolton were very scrappy and I think diouf was lucky not to get sent off. I was amused by the people around me waving their season tickets at him - they come in a card size red wallet!

Great goal by Toure, and I initially thought Rosicky had fluffed it. How wrong was I? I don't think that as a team our performance was as good as it has been in some games, but 3 more points in the bag and 2 important goals from a defender and midfielder. Aces!

Walcott has to be given a chance now. Eboue looked shit and definately isn't good enough to start ahead of walcott. Rosicky was great aswell. I don't think eduardo played well but he played on the left which just seemed pointless to me. Hleb had a good game in the hole. It's good to have rosicky back and now i'd like to see walcott up front with adebayor, an old fashioned little and large partnership.

Good job with Bolton yesterday. As for next week, please give Liverpool a tonking so we can see an end to their embarrassing title challenge.

It will be tough as Liverpool always have 12 men at Anfield, but I'm confident of getting at least a point.

I'll take a point actually, a draw would be an ok result.

The 12th man at Anfield, did you mean the crowd or the ref?

did anyone get a picture of the banner? i was pissed and missed it.

like everyone in the world has said elsewhere, that was the kind of game we'd have drawn last season. bolton were up to their usual anti-football kicking nonsense and it was great that we didn't fall for it, though i thought cesc was lucky not to get sent off. i'm so desperate for theo to get a goal though - he's been much, much better the last couple of games and netting is going to really lift him.

eboue is a snide, cheating little bastard who i don't want playing for arsenal.

'i'm going to hell' moment of saturday: nearly starting a chant of 'you'll never find your daughter' to gavin mccann.

I had high hopes and I tried to overlook the fact that he's a wanker but I'd get rid.

This - plus he's not good enough.

Would it really have been special to have won the Champions League final knowing that Campbell's goals was scored off the back of a free kick after Eboue's dive?

Actually, yes it probably would. :)

Enjoyed the view from block 9 again, but that was the end we scored both goals, which would explain why I missed the banner. Anyone going tomorrow?

Yes, i'll be there freezing my tits off.

Let's not go too far. I'd have taken the CL if Eboue had knocked out the ref wrestling-style then picked the ball up and thrown it into the goal then woken him up and him giving us a goal and the trophy.

That said I would now get rid of Eboue. Not good enough at right back, nor at right wing.

How's Sagna looking in the flesh, for those lucky enough to still have season tickets? :)

I think he's been one of the buys of the summer.

Also, read an interview with Diarra this morning. He's a bit pissed off apparently.

The best thing I can say about Sagna is that he is a proper right back. Solid in the tackle, good in the air and gets forward if the chance is there. I think he has been a great buy. And we didn't even know we needed a right back! Arsene Knows.

Here is the Diarra chat:

See ya.

Sagna looks great and shows that Hoyte and Eboue just weren't good enough. Sagna has also built up a great understanding with Hleb.

Last match in block 9 tomorrow - my mate will be back from holidays and wanting his season ticket back.

Diarra needs to be a little patient. I hear what he's saying about being patient all this time at Chelsea but really we don't give a fuck about that, he just got to Arsenal.

If he can chill out a bit him and Cesc could become our regular CM pairing at some point soonish.

Flamini - how long can he keep up this amazing form for?

Gilberto - seems to have fallen down the pecking order. Who would bet on him being at Arsenal at the begining of next season?

Diaby - can Diaby and Cesc work as a pairing?

Denilson - same as above.

Song - please!

Edit:

http://www.arsenal.com/article.asp?thisNav...sie+knee+injury

The Dutchman has damaged medial knee ligaments and will be out for four to six weeks however there were fears the injury might have been to cruciate ligaments. That would have seen him sidelined for the vast majority of this season.

Thank fuck for that!!!

Finally ppl are starting to see that eboue is nothing more than a squad player. Theo is the man at the moment he really does get the crowd going and he is starting to show why he is such an exciting talent. Does everyone share my view that he should start upfront with adebayor on tues?

I'd like to see more of Diarra i reckon him and cesc would work great together. Diaby is given more of an attackin liscence these days, Denilson could partner cesc no prob he is a gem of a player. Diarra needs to shut up and wait.

I don't think Denilson and Fabregas could play together. They are both quite attack minded and for them to work successfully, one of them has to take on more of an "enforcer" role and curb their attacking instincts.

I'm not totally convinced by Flamini. Although he is in great form, having seen both Flamini and Diarra this season I'd far prefer Diarra to partner Cesc. Diarra is far more skilfull on the ball and his passing is much better.

Diaby - as much as I love him for fucking Campo up a few seasons ago, what's he really done? He got a good goal against Derby, but then I could get a good goal against Derby. For me, Diaby hasn't really shown us what his best position is or where he fits in. Is he a Vieira-esque enforcer? Or is he an attacking midfielder?

Lucas' prediction: Lehmann and Gilberto will be sold this January.

Some good quotes from Wenger:

Arsene Wenger admits Arsenal's stunning start to the season has come at a cost - upsetting some of the big names at the Emirates Stadium.
"It's unjust to change the team if you are doing well. They are not happy to be in the situation of course. I never try to convince someone to be happy in a position like that.
"Gilberto and Lehmann are certainly not happy, but their attitude in training is certainly spot-on.
Theo Walcott is also pushing for a starting place after a series of cameos off the bench. "When a guy comes on and makes a difference, he doesn't stay a long time as a substitute," said Wenger.

Lehmanns gone a bit mental - again.

The 37-year-old told German TV channel Premiere: "I think - and this is aimed at my dear manager - one shouldn't humiliate players for too long.

"It's possible that some day I'll feel like talking about the whole issue."

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...nal/7058711.stm

If he continues talking like that he won't be at Arsenal much longer.

It's like he knows he's lost his place and unlikely to win it back soon and what with the Euro champs next summer he's angling for a move in January rather than hanging about and looking for a move at the end of the season and risk losing his place in goal for ze germans.

Denilson can play quite defence minded but he is also good going forward so i think him and cesc could work. Diarra is a proper holding midfielder so he would def work. Diaby hasn't been given a chance in his prefferred position since he came back from that horrendous injury but given the chance i believe he could do vieira's old job.
