It's getting a bit worrying now, Dein and his Russian friend.

If Dein loves Arsenal as much as he says he does and isn't just in it for the money then he should fuck off. The teams development, which if you ask me seems to be a year or two ahead of schedule, and the recent financial stuff shows clearly that Arsenal FC do not need a money man to get involved. The only reason a money man would want to buy Arsenal is for the money and not the good of the club.

Chelsea are an exception because Abramovich is obviously not in it for the money, to him it's just a new toy and as we've seen when things are good they can be good and when they are bad they can be very bad. No stability whatsoever.

I think with Liverpool and Man Utd their new owners will want a return on their money at some stage which might not be good for the club, we'll see.

Arsenal have shown, with a plan, a good board, a bit of patience and an excellent manager that big things, no massive things can be achieved without a finacial backer.

Chelsea welcomed Abramovich in with open arms, Liverpool opened the door and Man Utd couldn't do much about it really.

We're in a similar position to Utd were in. They didn't want or need Glazier but couldn't stop him buying the club. Lets hope we can keep the Russian out.

Interesting little piece about when Henry told Wenger he wanted to leave.

I'd go with number four, 121 years of history cannot be bought.

I'm thinking 2-1 to us, Van Persie x2 and Ashton for west ham.

But part of me thinks (read fears) we might have are first defeat of the season, although it's a very very tiny part of me. Still, I don't think this will be a calkwalk.

I'd love to be wrong about that though.

It's a test of how far we've come today. Tricky away tie, London derby. You can't lose these games if you want to win the title, we learnt that last year. Any losses this season can only come away at top four Clubs. A draw today wouldn't be the end of the world but I expect us to win comfortably. Adebayor to continue his good form, please.

West Ham are in great form aswell, i'd have senderos at centre half over gilberto, i'd keep flamini and cesc in the centre. It will be a big test today and this will underline our season, i personally feel that we have more steel about us this year and that holds us in good stead.

Watched the game today on the dodgy channel in the pub. Was nervy stuff. Our play again at times was great to watch and we were a little bit wasteful in front of goal but Green had an absolute blinder in goal. Van Persie was back to his best and could have had a hat trick. Senderos battled well against Ashton who is a handful and had a few chances from headers. Freddie "scored" for them but it was ruled out for offside. Even after three replays i'm not sure if it was a goal or not. The rest was business as usual. Back four played well, midfield battled well, although Cesc was quiet in the second half, and the forwards looked busy. Really getting used to playing together.

West Ham were quite dirty and Bowyer got booked for a foul on Flamini and Noble commited an absolute shocker on Hleb who was stretchered off. Looked bad. Very good result, first win there in 7 years.

So far, so good...

I'd go with that one too. Nice and personal for the fat bastard.

Anyone read NOTW? Apparently there's a story about Usmanov shitting on Dein somehow.

Not read that but the BBC have this in their gossip section.

Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas is a massive XBOX fan and has been connecting to the internet and playing football anonymously. (People)

Our squad for tomorrow.

http://www.arsenal.com/article.asp?thisNav...ts+in+Bucharest

"William Gallas, Eduardo, Alex Song, Jens Lehmann and Tomas Rosicky are all still out."
Alex Hleb has travelled to Romania despite being stretchered off at West Ham

Bit of a suprise that, he looked fucked after that shocking tackle.

Emmanuel Adebayor (thigh), Mathieu Flamini (groin) and Abou Diaby (ankle) also face fitness tests before Arsenal resume their Champions League campaign.

Injuries starting to plie up.

Bad news..

Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor has made a u-turn in his decision to not play for his national team again, following a controversy during the World Cup over payments to players.

Let's hope Eduardo finds his scoring boots before the ACN.

Also..

Theo Walcott is the ideal replacement for Michael Owen in the England squad according to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

"Walcott is one of the candidates, of course," said Wenger. "If you are talking about him playing instead of Owen for England then I endorse that.

The next step for Theo is to play as a central striker and it is an option I am considering."

Running out of patience playing him wide?

I think we need to play Theo up front becuase it's killing his confidence playing out wide. The fans are being very patient but I've got to say it's getting harder and harder to keep giving him the benefit of the doubt. Yes he is young, but we really need to see something because Cesc is young (ok he's an exception), but how old is Traore, Diaby & Denilson?

Theo needs to step up now before people really start to lose patience.
