Great result last night, couldn't have asked for more.

And to distract us from all the Usmanov bollocks, here's a video of the team doing a halfway crossbar challenge, with camaraderie like that, hopefully the team will be able to put all of the takeover talk out of their minds. It's a bit in French, but you get the gist.

good stuff.

seems like Gallas is the leader

He's so fucking fragile. Two games in, two games out.

I'd give Theo a run.

He's very unlucky with injuries.

Walcott is a top prospect ppl need to lay off him and give him a chance, he looks stronger and faster this year and i'd love him to start on sat, people need to wait and judge him at the end of the season.

My line up for the derby game would be

Almunia

Sagna, gilberto, toure, Clichy

Walcott, Flamini, cesc, Diaby

Eduardo, Adebayor

I reckon adebayor and eduardo would work best out of our strikers. i wouldn't mind seeing diarra either really its just a shame that we've gotten a few injuries.

EDIT: i'd quite like to play a 4-3-3 with walcott, adebayor and eduardo up front woth walcott on the right eduardo on the left and adebayor in the middle

Thirded. Could be a good game to try it.

I'd also like to see punctuation in a holding midfield role. :(

I saw my mate last night who is a chelsea fan (yes, I know and I am sorry) and he exclaimed yet again "how the fuck does Arsene do it?" It's a wide question I suppose, including how does he spot such amazing talent for peanuts, how does he get the best out of so many players etc.

Then we started chatting about how many premiership clubs Arsene could make a top 4 team with their current squad...

I suppose we'll probably play Walcott and Diaby left and right, Diaby is wasted out there.

It's not his natural position and when he plays there and doesn't do very well it can't do his confidence any good.

how about?

Almunia

Sagna / Toure / Gilberto / Traore

Walcott / Diaby / Diarra / Clichy

Eduardo / RVP

Bench: Fabianski / Cesc / Denilson / Adebayor / Bendtner or Flamini

Yeah I think Gilberto seems to be the type who just gets on with it, a true professional. I don't think he's ever moaned about anything in his time at Arsenal.

If he fills in at the back when needed what is there to complain about really? It's not like Wenger has decided he is now a CB and will only play there, he is just filling in when we have injuries.

I think the players at Arsenal realise they play for the club and for Wenger and if that sometimes means playing in a position that is not their favourite then fair enough.

It's hard choosing a squad at the mo with so many midfielders fighting for a starting spot. I wouldn't drop cesc as he is in lethal form, plus he'll prob get a break mid week against newcastle. As against newcastle i wouldn't be suprised to see diarra and denilson start

I'll take a 1-0 with a dodgy deflected goal, I don't care. Three points is all that matters.

I thought I heard them calling Flamini something on that crossbar challenge video someone posted above but it sounded like "touso", didn't realise it was referring to Gattuso. Quite a flattering nickname there, Gattuso's blinding.

My team for tomorrow would be:

Almunia

Sagna-Toure-Gilberto-Clichy

Hleb (or Walcott)- Cesc-Flamini-Diaby

Adebayor-Eduardo

Im just hoping for a repeat of a few years ago when we beat you in the league at Highbury.

Daryll powell socred that day aswell as Dean Sturridge. I remember the papers calling him the next Ian Wright the following week, and subsequently Arsenal bid 6 million for him. Why oh why we never sold him for that I do not know.

Whatever happens it'll be a good day tomorrow, got a load of mates round to watch it (got a Euro Sat system) come on you rams. :)

mid to late 90's?

Satellitte system fairly cheap, had it a while now, but for a similar system it'd be about £80 for the reciever, £100 for dish and install. That's it. Ive got official subs to an Albanian provider, show 6 Premiership games a weekend. but patching your receiver (Yarrrr) means you dont need to bother tbh. PM me if youre seriously looking into it ill point you in the right direction.
