quite scrappy yesterday wasn't it? city very good value for their nil i thought.

i'm very worried about the state of our defence - we've now got one fit centre back. i presume we can recall djourou from bum city can't we?

fuck my arse was it hot yesterday. we were sweating like rapists at the back of block 6, utterly minging.

City played very well I thought, wouldn't be suprised if they finished top 6.

We seemed to run out of ideas a little but Richards and Dunne were superb.

I'm sure we can recall Djourou if we need but Sagna's injury is not serious apparently.

That's the hotest i've been at an Arsenal game I think. Also the first time i've worn sandals and shorts to a game. Seems strange to think it will be replaced by gloves, scarf and a wooly hat soon!

Made me chuckle when they started singing "Ian Wright, Wright, Wright" to Casper. Long memories some people. He was probably at fault for the goal but made loads of other good saves so shouldn't be too gutted. And that penalty was shit. RVP cost me 10 points in the fantasy league by missing that. Bastard.

Currently linked with this fella (details nabbed from Wiki)..

Urby Emanuelson (born June 16, 1986 in Amsterdam) is a Surinamese-Dutch footballer who currently plays as a left-back for Ajax, he is also suitable to play as a left midfielder.

Would make sense, I guess.

I suppose it does make some kind of sense, but why can't we just buy a left sided midfielder to play on the left side of midfield? Surely this makes even more sense.

Then again Wenger does like players who can play in about 5 different positions.

I think Wenger will soon buy a goalkeeper who can also play at centre back, left wing and can maybe fill in as a forward if needed.

That's pretty interesting, especially the bit about Vela getting a work permit in January.

Yeah, that jumped out at me too.

I stumbled on that page by clicking a link saying 'What Arsenal Didnt Want You To Know About Cedric Evina' but it's a dead link. I need to know now.

We've got a player called Tom Cruise - that's some funny shit.

Something else intersting about Tom Cruise apart from being called Tom Cruise is that it says he's played at the back for England with Kyle Bartley. When did we sign him? I'm sure I read only today that if we want him we'll have to increase our offer.

;)

I remember reading he came to us.

5 years younger than me and already signed by Arsenal. I reckon I should just give the dream up now.

I'm afraid you're older than Cesc, it's time to let go man, time to give it up.

Sorry MankeyMan but it just aint gonna happen.

From Wenger's email thingy which I get from being on the Arsenal.com mailing list:

Finally, an injury update from the City game. Bacary Sagna had a kick in the back and Philippe Senderos has an ankle injury which he picked up the day before the game. I think both players will be OK for Wednesday's game against Sparta Prague.

Hope Repka doesn't do nothing stupid or get one of his team mates like that dodgy looking bloke that Dude posted to go after Cesc, we can't have Cesc getting injured.

I reckon Cesc should do him first, best form of defence is offense and all that, or does that work only in basketball?

Oh, I just read on the official site that Sagna is out ;) .

I hope he plays, I like what I've seen so far. Given that you really have to adjust to the Prem over a period of time he comes across as very promising indeed. You could almost say a Hoyte/Eboue hybrid, ie he can defend but he's quick and gets forward.

Anyway, can't see any way we'll let this slip tomorrow. The only worry is Repka doing Cesc (EDIT: like Lucky said).

You're right, Sagna is out, but Wenger does say : "Sagna is injured too with a kick in the back but he should return for Portsmouth on Sunday." Probably could play but may as well as rest for Sunday.

Hopefully Eduardo starts, looked quite good on Saturday. Him and Adebayor could be interesting. Give RVP a rest and leave him on the bench if we need him.

Van Persie and Adebayor didn't really work on Saturday but Adebayor looked far from fit.

I'm back from my holiday and have just spent the last few hours catching up on all the news.

Adebayor didn't look fit at all though his partnership with RVP will be great once he's fit. For me eduardo has to play tonight, he's sharp and direct. I'd play him and adebayor and rest RVP. I'd also like to see walcott start.

i'm glad lehmann got injured and for me almunia has to be our number 1, he hasn't done a thing wrong and if he plays well over the next few games he should keep his place.

Quite, he wasn't match fit at all. I like him though. Quite liking Bendtner too. Not first team ready but gives us an option.

I'd like to see their defenders kick lumps out of Adebayor and Bendtner, the big bastards. Cesc can give as good as he gets, and our midget midfielders are tougher than a lot of people give them credit for. If all else fails then Kolo and Gilberto can dispense any required punishments.

Only Gallas and Sagna are injured though.

I know but it makes all the difference. That's half of our defence. Senderos works well with toure but who do we play at right back? Sagna has made that position hius own already he looks like a great signing. Where is hoyte btw?
