Gets a nod from me. I love The Gamst-he's like Fred in his prime. Only slightly less gay.

I wouldn't be bothered about the cost, I just think he would be a cracking addition to the team. Superb left footed players are worth their weight in gold.

Knows it. He's got some bollocks too. He's like Fred, kinda unusual but talented and with spirit. Can't see it coming off, Blackburn are on the up and the fee would be big. Not that I wouldn't like to sign him.

Who should we sign? Not sure. Someone left side though.

Be interesting to see if we play with one in the hole this year and who it would be. I'm a Hleb fan and he's impressed pre season. But I like Rosicky too. I think Rosicky would be more suited to playing wide, Hleb would give you more off the front one/two in terms of who's better suited.

I'd love to see rosicky in the hole to be honest, he's more likely to score and he's better at it. It would prob work really well at home games where adebayor could be rested, then theo and hleb could play on the wings

I'm just thinking what would you lose, moving one inside. I think Hleb is less (relatively speaking) useful wide so move him indoors. Rosicky - and I know you like him :( , so do I - can do more of a job out wide. I love the way Hleb is on the ball, and the way he makes space for himself. Rosicky is more capable of a wide role, IMHO. I'm thinking make the best from what you have. Rosicky, with pace and shooting abillity can do a job on the left.

I hear what you're saying though.

I know what your saying aswell i just think that if rosicky played in the whole he could destroy teams with his shooting ability and passing range, whereas hleb isn't a player who could dominate a team, though he is a top player. Its a tough one to be honest i wouldn't mind seeing either of em play there but would prefer rosicky

While agree both would be fantasic in the hole I'd have to agree withh Dude on this one.

When Hleb is on the right hand side his perfomences end up diminshed, he seems almost fustrated out there. Also, Eboue and Sagna look like a nice pairing on that wing maybe making Helb the less obvious choice.

After seeing Hleb play in the hole with Van against Inter the boy looked ten times more lively and effective then I've ever seen him when on the right. I also think his range of passing is a tad bit greater then Rosicky's. I'll grat you, Rosicky, at the moment, would be a much more likly lad to be getting you goals. But hopefully Hleb will start hitting them goals like a crack pipe this season.

Either way, we've got a wealth of lads at centre midfield, let's get some width added to that soon.

Always been a Hleb fan (especially as he bangs in some crackers for me in PES). I think its true that Rosicky is more of a goal scorer but Hleb is largely ineffective on the wing. Also, before we picked him up he was scoring goals at a decent rate.

Hleb for the hole!

Apparently Eduardo can play tonight cos it's not in Britain.

I don't understand the hold up on his permit. United seemed to get clearance in a shot for that lad and he's been nowhere near his international side.

It is a bit silly, seeing as Da Silva is part of the Croatia set-up and has been for a while now. Although if the lad you're on about is Anderson, he played for Brazil in the Copa America.

No need he's got it, it's official.

Thank fuck. I'm getting quite excited about him.

I can post this now. Really high praise from Bilic..

The Croatian national team manager reckons Arsenal's new signing is a natural-born Gunner...

Croatia manager Slaven Bilic travelled to Salzburg in Austria last week to see one of the stars of his team - Brazilian-born striker Eduardo da Silva - play for his new club Arsenal in a pre-season friendly.

And afterwards Bilic - who made a name for himself in the Premiership with Everton and West Ham United - talked to the Arsenal.com website about the 24-year-old who had recently left Dinamo Zagreb to test himself in England's top league.

Bilic watched naturalised Croatian Eduardo board the Arsenal bus with his team-mates after the game and observed: "He is one of them.

"He looks straight away like he belongs there. OK, it is pre-season still, his legs are a bit heavy and he looked as if he lacked freshness in the game.

"But the main point is that we never doubt that he belongs there. I'm sure that [Arsenal] are going to be delighted with him. A wonderful player, a wonderful man. The guy is unbelievable.

"Last year he scored 54 goals in all competitions for Dinamo Zagreb and for the national team,” Bilic enthused. “54 goals!”

Talking to the Gunners' official website www.arsenal.com, he continued: "I know some people think he is just a goalscorer - and he is a goalscorer, but not like someone like [Filippo] Inzaghi. His game doesn't depend on scoring goals.

"He is not the [type of striker] who is going to stay in the box. OK, he can do that. If you tell him 'stay in the box', he will stay in the box. But it would be criminal to use a player of such quality only in the box. He can be a lone striker, he can play off the striker. He is individual but first of all he is a team player.”

Bilic is sure the move to Emirates Stadium will benefit Croatian football as a whole.

“He came to Croatia when he was 16, and all the people in Croatia treat him as a 100 per cent Croatian. Remember he was a captain of Dinamo Zagreb. You cannot be captain of such a big club if you are not considered Croatian.

“You can't not love him. He is an unbelievable guy. It's such a great thing for the Croatian League, for Eduardo and the national team and everybody in Croatia. Our players don't go to Arsenal every day and I think he is going to open the space for a few others.”

Be interesting to see if Wenger starts with two up top tonight against Lazio, Eduardo and RVP as surely these two will be our first choice forwards come the new season.

With this one up front and one in the hole, I can't see Wenger playing that every week but only using it on occasions or when we may be short due to injuries or suspensions.

I'm glad he got the permit everything is sorted now. Lets see if wenger chooses to play someone in the hole. :(

Can't remember where I read it now but i'm certain I saw a quote from Wenger saying he was thinking about playing him 'wider'

Watching the game against Lazio at the moment. 3 points so far:

- Why is Senderos captain?

- The defence are all over the place...

- Bendtner's touch has so far been toilet

EDIT:

In fairness Senderos just put in a blinding tackle to save a certain goal

I don't mind senderos being captain, yes the defence looks very shaky, we need a leader in there. Senderos has gotten better as the game has gone on. Eduardo looks good, and traore has had a great game

Yep, Traore was pretty much the pick of the bunch tonight. Saying that, Eduardo looked good, glad he got a goal too. I also liked hs shot on goal from his own half, he's very aware and is obvioulsy confident. Looking forward to how he progresses this season.
