I have read and heard a few pundits comparing Bendtner to Dennis recently...

They are not in the same league. See that YT video I posted above? Bergkamp was doing that at 17! At 19, Bendtner isn't even aware of where the goal is half the time. That's the difference.

Crap quality maybe. But it shows the quality of the pass...

AMAZING

It's unreal. Like, the best possible thing he could have done in that situation. The timing, the pass. He's a legend. Best player of his generation without a shadow of a doubt.

Sky are reporting £8.1million. Not bad if it's correct. It was looking like we would get about £6mill at best. Apparently Real offered £4 mill the tight fuckers.

Surely there's money to add another player or two before the window closes.

From Henry, Freddie, Reyes, Muamba and Alliadiere we've got about £31 mill in and spent about £19mill on Da Silva, Sagna, Fabianski and Nordtveit (why hasn't he got a squad number?).

There's a profit of about £12mill there plus any loose change we might have to add to that.

The money is there but Wenger clearly believes in the kids. I find it a little worrying as a few injuries & suspensions to key players will leave us bare!

But he talked quite openly in that recent interview about the possibility of still grabbing another couple of players.

Time will tell

Wenger definitely believes in the kids, and rightly so as there's some superb talent and unbelievable potential there, but like 007 said a few injuries and suspensions, plus the ANC, we could struggle a bit.

Even if we get a bit lucky with injuries and suspensions I think we are still short of a wide left man.

Don't know if Wenger is even interested but Quaresma could possibly do a job on the left for us. A bit worrying though, especially after Reyes, is this quote I found on wikipedia.

Quaresma however has already rejected a move to Munich, joking "In Germany, it always seems very cold!

We'll see I suppose, there's still a month left of the transfer window.

Wenger surely has to sign a few players. We're very short in postions and this must be rectified. Give rosicky competition and give gael some. To be honest i'd still rather play rosicky in the hole where hleb played against inter and buy a big left winger

He's mentioned two signings. I hope at least one of them is proper decent and established.

Rumours of Martins continue, I'm a bit in two minds about him. I'd like us to have a big bruiser, I think we're a bit lightweight. But whether we need another striker is a different matter.

we prob need a good 3 or 4 signings

I think two, really. And they need to be quality.

We've got three keepers. Four centre backs plus Sagna can play there. Three right backs if you count Eboue, two left backs plus Gallas. Centre midfield is Denilson, Cesc, Gilberto, Diaby, Flamini and Song. Wide we have Hleb, Rosicky, Wlacott and seemingly Eboue. Oh, Gibbs but it's probably too early for him. Up front is Eduardo, Bendtner, Adebayor, van Persie and the option of Walcott.

That seems quite good in terms of numbers, except out wide. I think new signings would have to be wide players of real quality.

You don't actually need your membership card for away games do you? I've never needed it before.

If so would some kind Red member who's not going to the Blackburn away game send me their number so I can take a mate? It also means 1 away credit for you

According to Arseblog he isn't the only signing

Two names we’ve been linked with - Kyle Bartley (a young right back) and Gilles Sunu (a French forward) appear to have signed for the club as they appear in the ‘youths/reserves’ section on the official website (cheers to Richard for the info).
