Freddie may be staying after all????

http://www.arsenal.com/article.asp?thisNav...nce+is+an+asset

“Freddie is a winner,” said Wenger. “We have a very big squad, maybe not in numbers but in quality. We have many young players so the experienced ones have to show the way - not only footballistically but mentally - for a successful season".

Wenger is so well 'ard he is even making his own words up.

I saw that and thought exactly the same thing! It's the new 'bouncebackability'.

I see the American is lining up a takeover attempt within the next few days ;) . I hope the lockdown on selling shares that the board agreed will hold tight.

Reading the article about it he sounds like a complete wanker saying "I'll buy anything if it's cheap enough" and "Would I be in trouble with Chelsea?" and shit.

If I was an Arsenal fan and he bought it I think i'd start supporting someone else...

Freddie to West Ham for £3m, apparently.

I'm not sure if that's good business or not. I mean, you look at some of the fees other Clubs are getting for run of the mill players (Richardson, Bellamy..). I know he's 30 but I don't think we ever get good fees for our players. Maybe Anelka.

Eccelstone is a total idiot and my love of Arsenal would be seriously tested if he took ownership.

I watched him yesterday banging on about how he likes to watch Chelsea when he has time. It will never happen anyway but if it did I would be forced to hunt down and kill the little twat.

I think Freddie had to go, he's definitely past his best but we'll never forget the Freddie with red hair days. £3 million isn't that bad really,

I wish him all the best.

Surely, surely this means we're gonna buy a winger now, who though?

I suppose only Wenger knows.

Rumours of Wright-Phillips have died down. Not sure if I'd like him or not. I think with the freedom Wenger gives players he could do a job.

I'm not sure I could cope with an Arsenal team with Wright-Phillips and Walcott...we might get blown off the pitch...

As for Freddie...as has been said already, he was brilliant for us for a long time and I know he's past his best but I still can't decide if £3m seems like a bargain or not...

Anyway, who do people have on their mind to replace him?
