Just had some very, very bad news. I am waiting for someone to send me a picture to confirm it and when they do I will post it up, but it's not really worth it now as nobody would believe me.

Shit. :P

Freddie has been rejected by Fiorentina because he's gay? <_<

Sorry didn't mean to be a tease but it sounds like such a bullshit story that it was hardly worth posting. Didn't mean to make a big fuss of it but my mates original text was "Just had Cesc in the back of my cab and I reckon he is leaving" and I panicked!

My mate, an Arsenal season ticket holder who I go with, is a cab driver and got a call to pick someone up from an address in north London and take them to Arsenal's training ground. He originally thought it would be the new guy Sagna but Fabregas walked out and got in the back of the cab. My mate said he actually said to him: "Fuck me it's Cesc". Cesc laughed and they got talking. Of course my mate asked if he was leaving. Cesc smiled and said "We shall see". <_<

So my mate, without wishing to piss him off, kept on the subject and said "See if you ask me I could see you going to Barcelona in about five years, after all that's where you came from. I can't see you playing for Madrid." Cesc smiled again and said something like "Yea it's hard to get into the Barca side but we shall see."

So either he's leaving or he isn't but don't want to say to a random cab driver. Looks like those Robinho plus cash for Cesc rumours earlier in the week may be true.

Oh and here is the picture:

if cesc leaves this summer i will actually break down and cry. the awfulness of it doesn't bear thinking about.

It would be, by far, one of the worst things that could happen to us. I don't think it will happen, I pray it won't.

Eto'o linked again, apparently.

With Cesc we all know he'll go at some point. Later rather than sooner, for preference. Selling him would confirm us as a selling Club and sends out yet another message that we're weak but you never know. We've got decent players in the middle. I know Wenger has always fancied Robinho, maybe this deal feels right to him.

I would rather Cesc stayed, naturally.

If Cesc left this summer it would be an absolute disaster. Even if Robinho was included in any deal, even if we got £30mill+ it would be a massive massive disater. He's the one player we need to build our 'next' team around.

It is inevitable that he'll leave one day, probably for Barca, but not now please not now.

Hopefully not sooner than at least 4 or 5 years or so.

I think Robinho is pretty good and would be a good signing, but not if it involves Cesc.

Cesc must stay at Arsenal end of story.

There isn't a player in the world I'd rather have and there isn't an amount of money that would make me think it would be a good deal to sell him.

I do like Hoyte, he always gives 100% but at a club like Arsenal it's not enough to give 100%, the quality has to be there too.

You've got to be ruthless I'm afraid. If Wenger thinks Hoyte is not good enough then it's got to be done.

Agreed, and I wasn't suggesting that Robinho is no good, just not sure that he's right for the premiership.

Do you really think Wenger would let Fabregas and Henry go in the same summer?

Cesc has signed an 8 year contract. We hold all the cards.

Lucky's right, the team is being built around Cesc. It used to be Henry, now it's Cesc. He likes to play a short passing game. Look at Eduardo, he's the sort of player who will get in the box and get on the end of Cesc's passes.

Whilst I think he will inevtiably return to Spain one day, I don't think it will be anytime soon.

As for Robinho, having seen him play at the Emirates, he is supremely talented and pacy, but I think he is far, far too lightweight for the premiership. I would love to see him suceed at Arsenal. In reality, I think he is too arrogant and would end up getting all over the park by the likes of Ferdinand and Vidic all day.
