Tevez needs to shit or get off the pot, he keeps on saying the same thing about multiple clubs without any actual bids being made. Next week we'll be hearing how he'd like to play for Leeds.

Wouldn't you be the same if you where faced by the prospect of having to return to West Ham? :(

Arsenal have swooped to sign Croatian international striker Eduardo da Silva from Dinamo Zagreb.

The 24-year-old, who scored against England in a Euro 2008 qualifier in October, has signed a four-year contract at the Emirates Stadium.

The fee is undisclosed and Da Silva will be unveiled as an Arsenal player after completing a medical at the club.

Da Silva moved to Croatia when he was 15 and took nationality at 22. He has scored seven goals for his country.

Da Silva scored the first competitive goal at the Emirates when Arsenal beat Dinamo Zagreb 5-1 on aggregate in last season's Champions League third qualifying round.

Like the Rosicky signing last summer. Out of nowhere. I havent read a thing linking him to us.

Like I said before, don't believe anything till you see it on arsenal.com. Guess that means no Eto'o or Tevez.

Still, nice to have another Brazilian in the squad.

No-one saw that one coming :)

I was talking to a mate in the pub the other day and he said to me that he can't see why everyone is panicking about us not buying big names. Wenger never buys big names and never leakes transfer news out. This shows that the bastard was right.

Excitement levels...rising...

Indeed! Totally blindsided by this. I haven't really seen the lad play (bar the game at the groove where he scored) but I can't wait to see how he handles the premier league.

Now, how about a left sided winger please?

We've actually bought someone!!!

Never heard of him but I don't care, his goalscoring record looks good.

This is well exciting, we should buy more players.

We're the best, that's it we are going to win everything now.

Too excited!!

Da Silva is a decent player but €24m is a lot ot money.

BTW Lucas, Rosicky had been linked with you for 2 years before you signed him but you could only afford him once Dortmund was in financial distress.

Sounds like a lot of money if it's true but his record does look impressive.

Let's hope he can do it in the PL.

Da Silva, who moved from Brazil to Croatia at the age of 15, enjoys a prolific record at international level with seven goals from 12 games for his adoptive country, including a header against England in their 2-0 Euro 2008 qualifying defeat in October.

The 24-year-old has six goals in total in the qualifying campaign - three behind top scorer David Healy.

Last season for his club, da Silva scored a remarkable 34 times in 32 games, netting 71 goals in total in 100 appearances for Dinamo before earning a move to the Premier League.

That's according to the Croatian media. It doesn’t say though if it is performance or appearance related.

All from various sites linked from newsnow...

"The 24-year-old is likely to cost in the region of £6million and is keen on a move to Arsenal."

"The Gunners are not disclosing how much they are to pay for the Brazilian born striker who took Croatian nationality in 2002"

"Dinamo's fee for the move, which is subject to a medical and comes a week after France striker Thierry Henry completed his transfer from Arsenal to Barcelona, was not disclosed."

"The Dinamo Zagreb star will move to Emirates Stadium for an undisclosed fee,"

"The Rio de Janeiro-born marksman will officially sign for the Gunners for an undisclosed fee after passing a medical."

"There’s no mention of any sort of fee yet, but I’d hazard a guess at around six million pounds."

"have signed Croatia striker Eduardo da Silva from Dinamo Zagreb for an undisclosed fee, subject to a medical at the Emirates Stadium."

Don't believe you sorry. Arsenal just don't (or cant) simply splash out 16 million.
