And in other summer transfer news:

Bayern Munich have signed the German international striker Miroslav Klose from Bundesliga rivals Werder Bremen.

The 29-year-old had a year remaining on his Bremen deal so the club decided to sell him on, for an undisclosed fee.

Klose has agreed a four-year contract with Bayern, who failed to qualify for next season's Champions League.

But the German side have still signed Franck Ribery and Luca Toni among their eight summer signings so far.

Klose was the top scorer at the 2006 World Cup, held in his home country.

I'd be happy with two.

Or one  .

Tevez rumours. Assume we'd all be happy if that happened, yeah?

I'd be rather pleased. Young, strong and has had an introduction to the premership already and performed well. Also, he seems hungry to crave out his own legend which is something I want to see in our new striker.

Agreed, I think he seems like a lovely choice  .

I'd really, really like us to sign him actually. He's got that certain something, we need a character to replace Henry. I think the fans would take to Tevez straight away.

I'd take him for sure. He seems quite keen on Inter but perhaps he'd like to stay in London. As I said above the major points would be the price and his ownership.

I'd have liked to see Eidur Gudjohnsen come the other way in the Henry deal. I can't see anything like that happening now, but I reckon you could pick him up for £7m, which frankly would be a snip.

With regards to Tevez, it's nice to dream, but I really can't envision anything like that happening. I'd imagine his quotes have been put out there by his agents to court interest.

Saviola. He's available on a free as well.

It's almost too obvious. He was linked before and for a free transfer it would be ideal.

I still want Tevez though. I just see it being an excellent signing and after the let down of Henry going what better way to get the fans up for it than make a big bid for a potential cult hero?

I still want Tevez, too. Really can't see it happening for either of us, though.

If Tevez signed I would do a little sex wee. He is an exceptional talent.

How the hell Curbishley and Pardew preferred Zamora, Harewood, Cole(!) and Sheringham for so long is beyond me.

However, I agree with what others have said. I can't see Wenger laying out £30m for 10 players, nevermind one.

Gudjohnson (sorry for the spelling!) is hugely underrated. Chelski's worst season in the last 3 conicides with his departure. Coincedence, or something stranger?

Fuck off you troll.

Oh calm down, silly.

Arsenal have got a cracking looking young team but I can't see them challenging for the title next year, especially minus Henry.

I reckon Tevez will be aware that he's kinda wasted one year and will be hungry for trophies. Arsenal are more of a work in progress!

Can't imagine Tevez wanting to go to Arsenal. Reckon he'll want to be somewhere he can win some trophies after a year at West Ham.

Inter only won the league due to the big teams being docked points/relegated last summer.

Ah, I really wasn't meaning to troll. Just after some discussion!

Fair play mate, to be honest 'fuck off' was bad form and it was typed with a half smile. Honest!

You know what it's like though, we're all on the edge of our seats for signings and what not. Anyway, I'll offer a gentlemanly handshake ^_^ .

Gladly taken!

Good man.

*pleased*

Your subsequent comments are a fair evaluation. I do genuinely think the squad is in place to make a push though. If it all slots into place (if) then we can win trophies. I have no doubt in that. van Persie will be key, as will Cesc and the two wide men. Diaby is young but if he's ready then he's the real deal. Be interesting to see how we line up on day one. 4-5-1 seems to be the forum favourite and if the blend is right in the middle - as we've seen - it can be beautiful. I'm hoping that translates into results.

The team is there and ready to make that big push. I hope Diaby gets a bigger role in the team this year, he was wasted out on the left. Van persie and Cesc are the two key players in our team, they're both young but will now have to shoulder the responsibility of being our key men.
