Thought Saliba looked class. Feel like he might have made changes earlier - Nketiah seemed to really help when he came on.

Nketiah seemed to bring a bit more of a target man style of play to it when Arsenal were beginning to struggle to carry the ball up field. Though that first thirty minutes with Martinelli, Saka and Jesus Hey Soos stretching and running at Palace was great to watch

Was a typical mixed bag I thought under Arteta.

Some good stuff early on in first 20m or so, then having got the lead did that thing where we go into our shell and make whoever we playing look amazing as we soak up pressure and flap a bit (though Saliba was very good at not catching the flapping bug yet).

Jesus and Zinchenko looked upgrades on what went before - I think Tierney has a problem now as Zinchenko seems like he has a gas tank that lasts longer than the 10-15m of the Scotsman.

Xhaka unfairly booked for something the ref didn't decide to book a player for in identical circumstances later on.

Nice to finally see Saliba 3y into his 5y contract, just suspect he got no love for England or the club at the moment so won't be rushing into signing a new deal and we'll have basically spent 4y paying for and polishing up a rolls royce of a young defender who we end up flogging for £20m next summer to somebody bigger.

Thought the 4th ep of All or Nothing was quite revealing, clearly the club approving a lot more to be shown than usual in these things to back up Arteta in the situation with Aubamyang, who was edited to come across as a surly troublemaker.

I'm really warming to Arteta, he has a touch of the David Brent crossed with Roberto Martinez about him but you just can't doubt his commitment or intensity, he comes across as pretty genuine and feels like watching somebody learn how to do a job they are pretty well equipped for.

You can clearly see how with his age and lack of credentials the club needs to be setup around him with the recruitment focusing on younger players more likely to listen, have to let that play out and see what happens this season as no point lobbing him out after 3 losses and starting again.

Really enjoyed that, nice open game and in that heat our intensity and attacking play were excellent.

Jesus looks superb, the pressing and chasing is a whole new angle for us. Saliba again great in the first half.

Team looked balanced with threats all over and the system with Zinchenko in seems to free up Xhaka a bit.

Excellent win, although Leicester were shite.

Jesus showed his strength as well with a really nice hold up and spin away. Unfortunately just shot wide.

I am loving arsenal at the moment, not convinced we will get top 4 but the vibes are just amazing. Going to the Everton and Fulham games, can’t bloody wait!

Yeah, that was quality. Brilliant ball from Ramsdale right to him.

The boy…

is giving me grief for sending him “to bed at half-time, when Bournemouth were two-nil up, and Arsenal scored 75th, 80th, &92nd minutes to draw 3-3”

in January 2017

”who scored?”

”giroud, Sanchez, and Lucas, but not in that order”

”who got red carded?”

”one of their fullbacks, Francis?”

“When did Bournemouth get their third?”

”in the fifties… 58th minute?”

As a United fan, im so jealous of you guys right now. Not because of the start you've had to the season, but the squad just looks like they're actually wanting to play together and have a sense of direction.

Pleasant to see Arsenal on the right path again.

Yeah it's great to see Arsenal just not be boring really, under Wenger with the 5 nil collapses against Chelsea you would at least score loads late on against lower sides. Under Emery but more so Arteta you made football look so difficult I thought, I avoided even the highlights.

The best thing that a few pundits are saying about Jesus is he's sped up the play dramatically, there's a unity and joy at being at the club it seems.

Someone on totally football said 'as someone who lived through the 90s I can't get enough of Man United failing miserably', while Jonathan Liew said 'I'm finding it tedious now'. The loss against Brentford was funny I guess, but we're likely to see Klopp and Guardiola leave before Man United and Arsenal compete with them.

Watching players and teams underperform is depressing, I'd rather not watch football. Disappointment is largely the norm. I want to see Odegaard and Jesus reach the potential of their youth just as much any any United player, honestly.

as lowly red members, we can't get tickets for the next 5(!) home games.

So we're off to see Bromley FC vs Scunthorpe United

But more importantly, this is another effect of the start Arsenal have made this season.

Last season we got tickets for  Norwich, on the 11th of September. This year, we might have to wait for the temperature to drop, and for the...

Oh fuck, there's a world cup on.
