Arsenal

A bit of a non starter if this is correct.

Yes. But I did wonder if he might get another year to win something with the possibility of Wenger taking charge at the end of his contract. Quite convenient all round, except obviously not for us.

It seems this was correct!!

Never mind hey.

I've heard £3m which isn't a bad fee for a player who can only score in reserve games. Shame, I quite liked him.

Also, apparently peace has broken out with Kroenke. Which, fingers and toes crossed, might mean Dein coming back. It's been mentioned and I think his love of the Club, Wenger and the players would make it hard for him to refuse a return. I mean, if it was me I'd probably tell them to fuck off but I'm hoping everyone will see sense.

i don't quite get the big dein-love that has been going on all over the place. this is the man who forced the bond on us, which meant people had to fork out over a grand in 1992 to sit where they'd been going every other saturday for up to seventy years. he is one of the main reasons why we have sacrificed tradition for the easy shilling - look at the adoption of the horrible, tacky toytown new crest which was only done so the club could get rid of the unofficial merchandise sellers outside the ground. it's shit like this that makes going to the arsenal feeling like a fucking day out at chessington instead of a football match.

he had the foresight to bring wenger in, which was probably one of the most important decisions in our history. however, he also opposed building the new ground and instead wanted us to share wembley with fucking spurs! not to mention selling the club on the sly.

and vieira can fermez la fucking bouche today as well. all i hear from him is saying how fucked arsenal are these days. rabbit rabbit rabbit, a tedious french chas and dave.

and yes, i am in a bad mood this morning.

I'd have to agree here with anders. I don't believe Dein coming back will anwser any of the problems we have, problems which are being blown a bit out of proportion at the moment.

Oh, and it would be nice if Vieira could put a sock in it for a while. I love the lad but he is making it tough to do so right now.

Barcelona are reaching giddy heights only previously held by Chelsea in my 'League of Cunts'. Eto'o in the press talking about his chats with his friend Thierry, and how he can fit in Barca's front line, which is real bullshit.

I'm already daydreaming about meeting them in the Champions League next year, the cunts.

Hi-motherfucking-five on that one wiener. After the champions league final I, naturally, started to dislike them but right now they're making it so much more easy to absolutely despise 'em.

The 2 goals he scored last weekend probably did his pric tag the world of good, maybe even made a few managers sit up and take notice which can only be a good thing for Arsenal.

It's all a bit of a shame really but he's made it clear that he doesn't want to play in England/for Arsenal so we've no choice but to let him go and get the best price we can for him.

Maybe the Babbel situation is connected, as Hercules said?

Just looking through the list of teams in next years CL (god it's shit with no football) and there are some decent teams in the 3rd round of qualifers, i.e. Seville, Valencia, Lazio, Liverpool, Werder Bremen, Benfica, Ajax, Spartam Moscow & Celtic(not that good but I'd rather not play them in Europe).

Apart from Liverpool, can we gat drawn against any of these teams or is there any seeding type stuff happening?

:)

Mm, Francesco Totti Syndrome. (Formerly known as Matt Le Tissier Disease.)

A bit harsh I think, you can hardly compare Arsenal to Southampton or even to Roma, when was the last time Roma won their league? and they're not exactly in the CL year in year with a half decent chance of winning it.

They won in 00/01, and came 2nd 3 times out of the last 4.

I'd say Roma were pretty comparable to Arsenal, myself. They're a big club, one of the top clubs in Italy (If you had to put together a top 4 it'd contain Milan, Inter, Juve and Roma in some order or other) and aren't exactly poor.

Then again, I don't agree with the assessment of Totti, IMO he stays because he loves the club so much.

Nothing to do with the money he's getting then?

He's on huge money at Roma and I doubt he'd get a better deal elsewhere.
