That was great last night. I think as soon as we move the ball quickly and have some unpredictability in our play we look like a different team. I hope it's Arteta feeling out what sort of coach he is, but that super deliberate mechanical football he's picked up from Pep just isn't us and doesn't do him any favours at all. It was interesting as we had arguably the slowest back four ever fielded in a game of professional football as a base, then plenty of running elsewhere. Dunno if that tells us anything or not.

Does any other league use VAR for these microscopic infringements?

Yes, according to Dale Johnson of ESPN who does a lot of twitter on this stuff, the big difference is its only in England we get so pissed off by the officials and make such a big deal out of it.

Xhaka passing Ashley Cole for appearances today.

That was dog shit. A recurring nightmare I have is us playing the Europa with Ceballos and Elneny as our starting midfield for all eternity. What are we expecting them to contribute at this stage? Just play some kids from the academy or a fan off the street or start with 9 or something. I’m absolutely certain it would make no difference.

This story had kind of passed me by, Saliba been filming unpleasant goings on according to the Upshot mailout

Another star caught up in a sex tape scandal is on-loan Arsenal defender William Saliba.

The clip shows Saliba in his France tracksuit, on a sofa next to a guy who is completely naked and masturbating while watching something (porn) on his phone. Two other team mates are sitting on the other side of him, both fully dressed in their national team tracksuits, and acting like nothing is happening.

The whole thing is openly filmed by Saliba on his phone's selfie camera but somehow ended up on Twitter, where someone has captioned it: "Saliba in the splash zone".

Now French football bosses have given the defender a one month suspended ban for recording the clip and uploading it to Snapchat before quickly deleting it.

According to reports, the official charge is "immoral behaviour"

Lots of rumours doing the rounds that Spotify owner Daniel Ek is interested in a takeover. Could just be a reaction to his tweet the other day but as a lifelong fan of Arsenal he would be an interesting owner.
