Reports in Italy are saying that Arsenal have agreed a deal with Sampdoria to bring in promising Italian striker Fabio Quagliarella for a massive £10 million. It is believed that the clubs have come to an agreement but Arsenal have yet to negotiate with the player as the club officials are busy singing another player from Olympique de Marseille (dont get your hopes up, its probably not Ribery).

Video (not representative of final product) here.

Rumours, rumours everywhere..

More rumours you've probably seen..

Dein to Newcastle ( ^_^ ).

To upset all those who believe we need experience, Kyle Bartley has apparently been signed from Bolton Wanderers with a fee to be decided by a tribunal. The massively experienced England Centre Half belies his tender sixteen years of age and represents a new wave of English players at the Club.

EDIT: Sorry, rumours are all we've got to go on right now.

More rumours;

The continued speculation over Thierry:

Arsenal striker Thierry Henry will finally put an end to his stay in London and join Barcelona for £15m, say club insiders (Various).

And over Arsene:

With Arsene Wenger's future at Arsenal still uncertain, Tomas Rosicky could be the first big-name exit from the Emirates Stadium, with Atletico Madrid keen to sign him (Sunday People).

The Sunday rags are always full of blatant lies, it'll get no better now silly season is upon us.

As for Quagliarella, we've been linked with him pretty much every week since January. He looks a very good player from what I've seen of him (not going off youtube vids).

We just want a signing, dogs. A signing. The merest whiff of a signing ;) .

When I referred to the Sunday rags there, I was talking about the Henry and Wenger rumours. That Quagliarella link could well be genuine, he's certainly talented enough to warrant Wenger's interest.

If I'm honest I've never heard of him. I respect your knowledge of players, mate.

My wish list, from rumours, is Babel and/or Ribery. Plus Henry to stay, natch. And possibly a centre back, maybe that Davies from West Brom cos we need a proper balls out English defender given that Toure is off to the African Nations. I'll admit that I've not seen much of the lad Davies either though.

A new striker is not high on my demands (what with Bendtner signing a new deal, it doesn't add up) although the persistent Owen and Martins rumours suggest Henry is going. Blatantly rumours though.

That doesn't sound like a bad wish list, to be fair. Babel is another player I've mentioned in here a few times and I really feel he'd be perfect for you guys, although maybe not right away as he's still very raw. I've not seen much of Davies but he is supposed to be 'one for the future' isn't he? I remember herc obsessing over his capture for a brief period in the last summer window.

Edit: It's funny you should mention Owen, I'm shit scared of him ending up with you lot, or any other of the 'Big four' for that matter.

Bendtner is what? 18? 19?

And you think he can chip in with enough goals? A decentish season at Birmingham does not a proven premiership striker make.

I'd like a proper striker who has some experience.

Davies would be the long term future as would richards. I'd like us to sign one of them. Ribery and babel would also be nice. We don't need a striker we've got enough plus if we buy these midfielders we could play 4-5-1 with Rosicky in the hole.

There have been rave reports, but I agree that the Championship is no yardstick.

Still, some top sides were sniffing around (apparently) and we know the form.. If you go out on loan from us you're unlikely to come back. So the fact that Wenger has given him a new deal leaves me quite excited. He's pacey, tall and has bags of talent.

Some French right back linked to us too.

AC Milan have expressed an interest in Henry aswell, This is getting more and more annoying.

There are rules, surely. It's tapping up via the media and, as you say, very annoying.

Instead of condemning Liverpool fans as the worst in Europe, as a knee jerk and stupid, face saving reaction, UEFA they should be looking at the nuts and bolts and the general integrity of it's member Clubs.

Looks like Ribery is off to Bayern then.

I thought last season was bad.

Also white kit seems to be fact: http://arseblog.com/columns/2007/06/05/white-kit-confirmed/

That's a shame. £17m seems to be the figure being thrown about which would explain why we aren't in the running. I can't wait to not be poor anymore. ;)

That kit is even more shit than it looked in the other leaked pictures.

The chairman has said that money is there for Wenger though, so it is frustrating to hear so little going on. A new right back may not be a bad idea - push eboue up onto the right wing? He certainly loves to get forward and set Henry up with some perfect crosses this season, a marked improvement on last year.

The Henry talk is doing my fucking nut in at the moment, its every single fucking day and is seemingly based on jack shit (he's currently on a tour in the Far East). He's said nothing since last week and I dearly hope that he's just ignoring all of the talk. Cesc has paid lip service to Barcelona (fair play considering his history and probably future there) and the hacks have jumped all over that as well (an example being "Fabregas Hints At Barcelona Move With Henry ").

AARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe that £17m is too much for us if it's a player we really want. I would be gutted if that was the case. I've posted a few times recently questioning the move to the new stadium, and what the point was. If it's left us financially unable to sign a player like Ribery then there's something very, very wrong.

Bayern don't even have champions league football next season but they are willing to pay that much?! Arsenal need to state their ambition buy making a high profile signing or two. We need a few players to complete our squad

Exactly. Surely Ribery would come here as first choice. Of course, you need to ask if we really want him, is he worth £17m etc. but United have just spent the same on Hargreaves. He's a player I like and will suit them well but he's not worth £17m. And how much are they in debt? Look at the money they've spent. The other Clubs will be worried when they look at their signings, I know I am. Our Club needs to fork out for some big names, they give the players and fans a massive lift, it's a statement of intent and it gives the opposition something to think about. At the moment we're coasting and hoping that the youth will come good individually and as a unit. There's no guarantee of that and then what?

Wonder if Wenger's future might have something to do with it?

"Already fretting over the intentions of Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas has further undermined the mood at Arsenal by admitting that he is unsettled at the club.

"It could be that I have doubts. Before I was very sure and I signed for eight years. I was sure that this was the ideal club for me but now maybe I am not so sure when I see that the coach has not renewed his contract, that the president has gone and I don't know what Thierry Henry is going to do. These are all things that could have an influence on my future," the youngster told a newspaper in his native Spain.

"If Wenger goes I'm 90% sure I will leave. I identify the team with him, and without Wenger, Arsenal wouldn't be the same." "

I'm going to go round the bend if this carries on
