At half time in home games junior gunners are picked from the crowd to take pens against Gunnersaurus - so as not scar their young developing minds too much Gunnersaurus has developed an almost telepathic abilty to leap out the way of said pens and let them go in, even if it seems impossible to do so due to the weakness of the kick.

Gunnersaurus is still not the worst member of staff at the club stopping penalty kicks - Cech makes him look Paul Cooper in comparison (one for old gits)

I'd have more confidence in my great-aunt stopping a pen than Cech and she's 87 and on a walking frame.

has she learnt to not dive super early and fully commit to one direction, allowing the striker to read her movement and pop it the other way ? she should get in touch with our 'world class' Petr and let him know this nugget.

its why he goes the wrong way every time, nobody thought to tell him though as its not like we've got loads of keeper coaches or other 'world class' keepers who could point it out to him.

Due to mobility issues she would probably just stand in the middle of the goal cowering and she's about 5ft tall.  So yes, she still stands a better chance of stopping a pen than Cech.

What a depressing season this is, lads.

an indication of how depressing fans are finding it, and the general glut of low quality matches from shagged out players, is we can't make the Chelsea game so had my 2 seats on ticket exchange for 48h now with no takers.

they're nice seats too, upper tier clock end right behind the goal.

What's the status of the whole Wenger out thing? Is it looking like he'll be off anytime soon or is he going to be sticking around past this season?

I don't think it matters anymore.  Although Wenger is part of the problem, the real issue is the Kroenke & the boards inability to take the club forward so it doesn't really matter who was coaching the team.  The complete lack of ambition is staggering and I can't think of any other football club who are just happy to tread water like Arsenal.

Lets face it, Sanchez & Ozil are both very likely to leave January or the summer.  There's no way we will get a top four spot, so we are going to struggle to attract the top players to the club from now on.  Looking ahead with the clubs laughable recruitment policy, it's looking like a very bleak future.  With Man City, Man United, Chelsea & Liverpool actively looking to recruit and improve all the time, plus the likes of Everton and Spurs gradually pushing on, I'm actually expecting Arsenal to slide down the table due to no ambition whatsoever to compete.  It's utter madness.

Our only hope is a new owner with deep pockets and a lot of ambition.  We are going to go nowhere with the club owned by this fucking idiot:

its reached the point I can't even be bothered to write up the problems as they've been the same for years, and fans have now taken the same disinterested approach as the board/owners seem to have.

couldn't even sell my tix on the exchange for last nights game despite them being up for several days and I'm not even sure the logic of renewing the season ticket because there are better things to come holds water now.

the whole place reeks of resignation and apathy.

I put my tickets up for Chelsea the moment they were eligible for ticket exchange.  In past seasons they would have been sold within minutes or a few hours tops, it took 4 days for them to sell this time.

The sheer number of empty seats for games against non top four opposition should be setting alarm bells off within the management of the club.  Another season of mediocrity and the real average attendances could drop down to 45,000 or so.  A lot of people are not going to continue to pay top prices to watch an average Arsenal team struggle week in week out.  And when the two star players leave, what's going to draw the casual fans in to the stadium?  Star players get arses on seats.

Depressing.

Absolute shower of shite. Wenger better not try and blame this on that second penalty.

Yes we were shite, i think its the worst we have played in as long as I can remember, but the ref was also very poor, back into the game and then a non pen given again can't blame him for the possible double touch pen as its still not clear. but the second pen is ridiculous and 4 minutes how the fuck was it only 4 minutes at the end?
