Decent performance against a very poor Everton side.

Even though it was quite an easy win, I have major concerns about Xhaka.  Xhaka seems to be asleep most of the time and has no urgency to his game.  He's constantly caught napping and always seems unaware of what is going on around him.

I can't get too excited about Wilshere as it's just a matter of time until he breaks down again with another injury.

I think Xhaka’s problem is that he just isn’t a holding midfielder, and he’s usually parternered up with Ramsey who sure as hell isn’t either.

Even against a woeful Everton the cracks show with that pairing and I dread to think what City would do to them on current form.

Kolasinac seems to have faded a little too after a really promising start, he’s not playing badly per se but after a couple of matches I thought we had a proper marauding left back there, did say to my son though he looked a bit thick set to be bombing up and down the wing all season, didn’t expect him to tire so fast though.

I think he is a holding midfielder, he’s surely not athletically good enough to really play any other role. He’s just not a particularly good one right now.

How many goals have we conceded this season from him misplacing a pass but then panicking to try and win the ball back and getting easily bypassed? He’s definitely talented but lacks football intelligence, similar to The Wilsh in a way I guess. And he sure as fuck doesn’t have the right head coach to improve on that front.

So the Puskas award counts as winning a trophy right ?

My recollection of that goal, which may be wrong, was the split second after he did it the ground didn’t erupt as normal for a goal as nobody was quite sure what had happened.

Right at our end too, can now tick off ‘seeing best goal in world football for a calendar year in the flesh’ from my footballing bucket list. Not sure ‘win title’ or ‘stop defending like idiots’ will get ticked off anytime soon.

bloody hell, even by our standards this is an injury tale of woe, he's had an arm skin graft on his ankle and you can see the tattoo on it.

I'd be amazed to see him play again reading that, such a shame as he's a brilliant player and seems a decent bloke too.

Can't make any logic based case for us even getting a point today - people keep going on about cup semi and final but that City team wasn't as slick and drilled as this one, and Chelsea had peaked and were starting their slide.

City are ripping massed defences apart this year, and we aren't exactly a well drilled impassable wall - Swansea were undoing us last week with a straight pass up the middle.

I'd take a point now but have a bad feeling we're in for one of our traditional big game stuffings.

well at least Wenger has tried something, Alexis as a false 9 and flooding midfield to try and give them more bodies to run thru.

not sure Bellerin or Kolasinac are much cop going back and I always suspect we could have 15 defenders on the pitch and a straight ball up the middle would undo them.

so nobody fancies us at 7.5 on Betfair then ?

It was a dog shit performance against a City side who barely moved out of first gear.  We are so far away from being able to compete that it's painful.  I don't understand Wenger's team selection or tactics.  More importantly, I don't think the players did either.

Seems baffling then that Wenger went for the line up he did against Man City then.

Its not often I agree with Shearer but he has a point when asking why you'd leave your record signing on the bench for a big game
