Szczesny really was a liability at times, guessing he just suits the Italian league more or maybe it's just that our defense it shit ;) Cech is only 35 right now, can still see him as first choice for a few years.

Little more upset to see talk of Wilshere being sold TBH Think it might be to do with him wanting more money. I really can't see why we'd sell him if we continue playing 3-4-2-1, he's perfect to play as one of the two who play in front of the defense. Plus he's one of the few youth team players in the squad.

if he wasn't a local lad who'd come up thru the ranks Wilshire would have long been discarded in the fans affections - injuries aside I've never actually thought he was that good when he has managed a string of even a few games.

He was probably over-hyped but he was worth the rep. just for the 2010/2011 season. Even for his shift against Barca he was worth the noise and the fans sticking with him. Bit like Diaby I suppose, you'd always felt there was the chance of a great season or a run of 20 good games or something.

Agree that if he wasn't a local lad he won't be given so much leeway by the fans, but that's understandable. He is always good when he plays though, much prefer him to Coquelin or Elneny.

Wilshere is a really lovely player to watch when he's on it, he just never developed a football brain to go along with his talent so he just does stupid shit pretty frequently. Plus we arguably ruined him by overplaying him massively in his first season.

Am I reading it right that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and his agent are trying to have us over a barrel for a new contract? Fair play, they've got some sack considering the bloke has had about 10 good games for us since he's been here.

The Alexis thing is going to get ugly isn't it, apparently he's 'sick'

Looks like he's a few days away from going full Payet on us.

At this point you just have to hope you've got 2 interested parties to bid each other up I think - they aren't going to pay him for a year and leave him fester poisoning the whole dressing room.

My browser crashed, I was about to say I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow, and my son wants to buy the blue kit with his birthday money, and his mother was advising against it, in case it becomes associated with bad performances away from home.

And then Benfica scored.

He only got the white Chapman kit from 2007-8

Who's gonna get injured first, Walcott or Wellbeck? (Which autocorrect tried to change to wellbeing [emoji23][emoji23] )

That's quite a front line though, Sanchez/Wellbeck Lacazette/Giroud and Walcott
