Question I saw on Twitter: would you be ok with Alexis going to Man City if it meant we signed Mbappe? I said no personally but loads had said yes.

Wenger really should be looking to offload Alexis abroad is he's made his mind up to leave.

What do you guys think of Walcott? Should he be sold or stay until he retires? Been a disappointment or worth every penny?

injuries aside... Worth every penny. Have you ever seen him NOT at least try? Ever seen him "go missing" in a big game? when he comes on as a sub he changes games. He could be wengers plan B.

He stays.

i say we strip coquelin down for parts.

Walcott has no use in this 3-4-2-1 so if we're sticking with it then he may as well leave. I suspect though that he'll stay as I think Wenger will look for any excuse to go back to his 4-2-3-1 comfort zone, where Walcott does have value.

Whenever he's played upfront instead of on the wing he's looked great but he's spent majority of his career on the wing. And whose fault is that?

Seeing a sentence about Theo Walcott mention retirement made me look up how old he is. 28! I don't watch Arsenal much, but I still think of him as one of those young players that might still come good.

5 out of 6 games straight after Europa League fixtures are away, including Chelsea, Everton and Manchester City. That's not ideal.

Quite handy if you go to the home games and dislike Sunday matches with their poor transport service and endless engineering service line closures.

You have to imagine Wenger will play a B team in the Europa League with a mind to getting the fuck out of that competition ASAP.

It'll definitely be a comp for blooding youngsters he has faith in (Iwobi, The Jeff), as well as providing injured players with game time as they play their way back to fitness.

Interesting comments on Arsecast Extra about Aubameyang. I'd like him here for sure.

It's gonna be a weird transfer window I reckon. Whoever gets Mbappe (Real) will hardly have money for anyone else and I suspect that many transfers will only happen once certain players have signed deals. A bit like us getting Özil when Bale went to Real.

We are THE ones that always start to panic when leading 2-0

We are THE club that always reminds fans how much money we have in the bank when season ticket renewals go out

We are THE ones that never start to try to sign players until the season has kicked off

We are THE defence that forgets Arjen Robben occasionally cuts in off the wing onto his strong left foot

We are THE team where Theo Walcott is still thought of as a youngster with good potential

We are THE club that will go out of the Europa league to Bayern or Barca who inexplicably don't get out of their CL groups next season

I could go on

Of course we will, you know Wenger and his economics first model.

He'll be seeing this as £50m fee plus £7.5m in salary saved (lets say Sanchez on £150k pw at present) for a player who wants out.

I suspect the fee for Lacazette will be in that region and the salary around the same, maybe a bit more - so its a financially 'flat' trade to sell Sanchez to fund Lacazette.

My problem as a fan is I don't think they are anywhere near the same quality or type of players, so its a huge gamble.

Only way I could tolerate selling sanchez to a rival and not just let him rot for a his final year is if we get a Galactico signing like Mbappe, which won't happen.
