Francis Coquelin completed 0 tackles and attempted 8 passes, completing 5, and I guarantee he'll start the majority of our games for the rest of the season.

My first thought on reading this was: "wow those aren't really great stats for a sub coming into midfield, wonder how long he got"

Then I checked the lineups and saw he started and played 77 minutes.

My mind is boggled.

We're gonna stuff them, they are crap this year, mark my words

More confident about this than I was before Hull on Saturday

Its all my fault, I take full responsibility for daring to be optimistic, I even thought at HT there was a win in it for us. Cruel game

I find it really sad to see Wenger like this, he's earned the right to have a dignified end to his time at the club and I think we all really hoped he could go with dignity and some silverware like Fergie, instead he seems to be hanging on desperately, like Clough, not realising he's a man who's time has passed him by.

I really hope he comes to his senses and gets to make the decision himself rather than having it done 'to him, he deserves that and its not nice to see him look so broken as he did on the interview straight after the match.

I don't believe though that the club will push him, and he just seems so stubborn I'm not sure this will resolve itself at the end of this season, as it should.

Who would you like to see take over in the summer?

Just putting it out there, but what about Dennis Bergkamp?  Chuck him in at the deep end.  And assisted by someone like Keown who I'm sure couldn't do any worse than Bouldy.

I believe Bergkamp has no aspirations to be a head coach as his fear of flying would make it totally impractical at the highest level.

I think Arsene knows he's done now, surely. He's hung on too long and it's all going tits up.

Undoubtedly.  He must go but the (apparent) lack of planning by the Board will hurt us badly in the short term - many other roles to be created and recruited for, costs of paying off staff etc etc.

And a team playing in a strip closely resembling an overripe banana are next up....

Whoever takes over we'll also need restructuring because no managers are used to having a role as all-encompassing as Wenger; he's the last of the old breed who did it all. Allegri, Tuchel etc would need a Sporting Director to work alongside at the very least.

The players look uninterested, Wenger looks uninterested, his post match interview was painful to watch, he's lost the support of the players, they didn't look like they had any belief they could win Sanchez was the exception and will definitely not stay at Arsenal if Wenger is still manager.

We should go all out to get Simeone or Ancelloti to take over.

Diego will not leave Athletico Madrid, Carlo I think has only just just started at Bayern?

Quick look and they are at the top of the German League.

Wenger was an unknown when Arsenal signed him I think Arsenal will again sign a manager with less of a name.

If a club like Arsenal cannot make Diego Simeone leave Atletico Madrid where he has already stated he's unsettled then we have a problem.

Likewise Carlo has been getting a bit of grief in Germany, the fans aren't overly impressed with him, so i think we could attract him away.

I believe it's an 'open secret' that Simeone is going to Inter. They're obviously not an elite club right now so clearly if it happens that's just his personal preference and no other club will be able to sway him.

Bayern have regressed under Ancelotti but they're still probably going to win the league and that'll be enough for him to get another season, even if they go out in the CL QF. As such I doubt he's attainable.

Allegri and Tuchel might be more realistic, although by no means easy.

Just please not Koeman, Howe, De Boer, Low, Deschamps or Pellegrini.

I don't think Bayern are in decline under Anchelotti, I think a lot of their stars like Robben, Muller, Ribery and Co are either getting old or lacking fire. Hence Lahm retiring at 32. Bayern are in decline because they need a fresh injection of players.

That said, they just put five past the team that finished second in England last year. Says a lot for English football.

Pity Simeone looks to be tied to Inter. I'd love to see a more physical Arsenal to mix in with the flair they have.

That is part of it but the quality of the football has definitely declined as well, they're playing much more 'basic' football than under Guardiola and have struggled against some bang average sides that they would have steamrolled under Pep. Arsenal made them look fantastic last night through our sheer ineptitude, but the fact is they have not been playing all that well in general and I don't think it's solely down to creaky legs.

I think Ancelotti is probably past his peak, personally, and I don't see the point in replacing one old dog with another. I'd want someone younger and fresher.
