Amazing stuff. Who was it sprinting back and putting in the tackle that led to the ball fall to El Neny? Was it Giroud?

Yep!  Fantastic to see.

Description from arseblog:

"Ozil saw the keeper coming, lifted it over him, cut back inside, saw two defenders, slowed down time with his mind, cut inside them – sending one of them flying into another dimension where he's wandering around looking for Barb, dummied the other, took another touch and with the keeper desperately flailing after him, rolled the ball into the net to win the game."

Thought it was a clear pen tbh, Kos didn't get the ball. Silly challenge, and Coquelin let Dembele go past him too easily as well.

Monreal and Xhaka were excellent today; Koscielny and Ox were shite.

Very frustrating game, if we'd been anywhere near our best we'd have smashed them.

Probably a fair result. Shame we let the lead slip but felt their penalty felt like reparations for their own goal. I thought Spurs played pretty well -- they always seemed to be in the right places on the park and often got to the loose ball before us. Now that I've watched them for 95 minutes, it's easy to see why they haven't conceded too many.

A few curious refereeing calls in that game. But if we can't win it, then best we don't lose it.

Feels like it might be time to put Iwobi back on the bench for a little bit. He's not playing badly, but he's dipped a little.

Not a good second half, defence looked poor and can't believe anybody would  think Mustafi had a good game, he was poor and sticking far too close to Son who killed him for pace.

Agree Iwobi needs benching, he's a prospect but looked a bit sloppy in this match

subs very disappointing, Ox looked dire and Giroud and Ramsey offered nothing.

Spurs are very well drilled defensively but didnt look very creative, but still somehow managed to make our defence look ropey

Disappointing game

I didn't understand why Coq kept getting forward only to either lose the ball or horribly misplace a pass. Surely Xhaka should be the one to get into more advanced positions. Agree Kos had a poor game and Ox looked dire. I know he's scored a few goals of late but IMO they've masked otherwise mediocre performances. I'd rather have Wilshere in the squad and Ox out on loan.

May be all a little premature but reports (quotes from his agent apparently) are that Bellerin will sign a new long term contract.

We need to show some serious intent and get these few loose ends tied up.

Get Bellerin signed up on a long term deal, pay Ozil and Sanchez what they are worth (250k or so a week is insane I know, but the going rate I'm afraid) and get them signed up too.

What's the situation with Santi? Is it correct that his deal expires at the end of this season?

Kos?

There can be no excuse for letting contracts for key players run down.

The wages have gotten absolutely obscene and ridiculous but we are in this crazy game and need to play the game.

Let's not forget that we also are earning ridiculous and obscene amounts too by the way.

You're right, very soon he's going to need replacing but surely a new two year deal or so is worth it.

Letting his contract run down can't be the best idea.

On another matter, like petrolgirls said above, it must be getting close to the time where we do a Wilshire with the OX or let him go altogether and get someone else in.

in the past when Walcott was frustrating the shit out of us I thought it couldn't get any worse but the OX is taking it to a whole new level.

Oh, I'd definitely give Santi a contract. Even if he only plays 15 games a season he'd earn it, since he's dropped deeper he seems almost immune to the vagaries of form so you can just drop him in and he does his job. It's very impressive.

For me, Ox is just a bully. Put him in a decent team playing against someone a bit rubbish and he'll turn up, he's just not found what he needs to change against good opposition. He did it in the cup earlier in the season, he did it all the time in League One. That was the season Southampton and Wednesday were both there, so I was watching the highlights a lot and I was genuinely delighted when we signed him, but he's just not changed.

Stop me if you've heard this one before ....

In the least surprising news of international break week reports emerging Sanchez has left the Chile training session with a suspect calf tear. This will usually mean he'll be patched up to play both games for them before being sent back to us broken.

Love an Arsenal November. :-/

A shame that Lucas is out as this would've been the perfect opportunity to see what he's made of.

Gonna be hard to beat an improving MUFC side without Sanchez.

On the upside, signing Bellerin for £100k per week is good. Just gotta lock down Mesut and Alexis.

If I could only keep one, I'd go for Mesut. Can't really explain why but I feel he's such a skilled player that even if we could keep him at AFC into his 30's, he'll still be very effective a la Pirlo because his game is not built around physical characteristics.

I wonder what Walcott will be like when his speed starts to fade...

nice to see England do right by Kane and send him back early from the international break

on the other hand Chile intend to pump Sanchez and Vidal full of painkillers and send them back to us and Bayern utterly broken.

international football is rotten and I genuinely wouldn't miss it if it didn't exist.
