Haha i was sitting there with my g/f and we couldn't believe it. Chelsea played well in the second half we couldn't impose ourselves on them. Adebayor was fucking up alot and Baptista held the ball up well which is good to see as he really hasn't shown his qualities much but i feel he had a solid game. We didn't have much of a spark in our game but in the end a draw was the fair result.

Arse had a fair few chances to kill the game at 1-0. But saying that, Chelsea could've wrapped it up near the end themselves.

Cheers lads :)

A pleasure :) . Shame we didn't win but our season has been like that, we just can't finish.

Anyway, just read this..

Manager Arsène Wenger has hinted that his team have missed the natural width and thrust winger José Antonio Reyes would usually provide from the flanks this season.

Reyes is currently on-loan at Real Madrid in a swap deal with striker Julio Baptista, who in turn has failed to make much of an impact at the Emirates.

Wenger said: "I will sit down with Madrid and talk about Reyes this week.

"Once we find out what they want to do with him we will make a decision.

"We have missed him at some points this season because he is a natural winger but we shall wait and see what happens."

I'm pretty sure he won't be back but I would give him a chance if it came to it. Maybe we'll take a loss on him and go for Ribery, that would be preferable.

I think we have missed him, or missed having a fast winger anyway. I was quite looking forward to seeing him on the big pitch at the Emirates before he left last summer. I reckon Wenger would have him back (especially as I think he will send Baptista back) but I don't think Reyes would come. In which case a fast winger is a priority. Ribery, being French is probably favourite, but the Babel for £6m rumours are in the Mirror again today. The Mirror also says we are after Bolton youngster Kyle Bartley for £500,000, whoever that is.

I've got a few quick questions for you guys, not as a Spurs fan, but as a football fan in general:

I read somwhere (The Guardian IIRC) that Henry's injury would be something that would plague him for the rest of his life. 1) is this something you guys have heard and 2) do you think that if it's true it'll affect his game, seeing as he many potentially never be as quick as he was and 3) do you think he'll adapt?

thanks for your time and congrats for holding the Evil blues

I've not heard his injury will affect him for the rest of his career, though it wouldn't surprise me if it did. That said, Henry is no Ljungberg.

Barcelona president Joan Laporte started his annual summer rumour campaign over Thierry Henry by claiming that the Spanish giants have already signed the French striker.

Laporte claimed that Barcelona have agreed a £15m deal for the 29-year-old.

I suppose we've got to put up with this shit for a couple more years, then they'll start on Cesc.

;)

I think it's disgusting how Real Madrid and Barcelona go about severely unsettling players and clubs year after year. If FIFA/UEFA had any balls they'd block them from signing players for a year or two as punishment! These two clubs have unsettled many clubs and particularly Arsenal for years and years and it's NOT on. Just because we are overseas it doesn't give them a right to do this ;)

No-one expected Vieira to go, when he did, but Wenger was ruthless. It wouldnt surprise me to see Henry go this summer.

ANR makes some good points about Henry's injuries and how Wenger flatly stated he wont be playing again this season.

Sell Henry for £15m and get Eto'o in.

How about get Eto'o in and keep Henry, and while we're at it lets get Ribery too, maybe Babel as well, seems like that Polish keeper is a done deal unless it's all a load of bollocks.

Any other suggestions anyone??

Keep henry he's a top clas player, with him and van persie next year will be bright. Though i still think we need one or two signings. We seemed to have signed a keeper, never heard of him so guess wenger is going down the same old route of signing the "cheap option" I don't want eto'o. We need a left winger so Babel might be a good option as Rosicky has done well there this season.

Ribery?

saw this on a blog somewhere.

Ribery, played 23, scored 5, assists 8

Babel, played 25, scored 5, assists 0 (?)

8 assists in 23 games is pretty good, 5 goals in 23 is not a disaster for a wide man either.

Marseille have had a shocker of a season too so those stats are even better. He's a class player.
