So is it still Wenger out? You'd have won the league if Leicester hadn't come from nowhere.

It was massively ambitious for him to go at the end of this season, but as far as the end of next season goes, yeah.

once the hilarity of this dies down it mustn't be allowed to fudge over the actual situation

whilst being runners up and finishing above Spurs again as they blew up in the run is of course fantastic, it can't mean another terrible transfer window with all the same old excuses.

delighted with today but hope its not used as a mandate to argue nothing is broken so nothing needs fixing.

I see in the other thread that they're taking the piss that we didn't win anything. And they're right, that wasn't a season to celebrate. However, while looking for info on my baseball team, I happened upon this gem from Fox Sports Midwest:

Dissed by yanks. Oh the humanity.

Yeah, but Spurs would have won the league if they'd got enough points to win the league. I mean, sure, so would every team but Spurs managed to get a point more than when they finished sixth a couple of years ago, have got a manager bound for PSG, a year in Corporate Stadium and then they'll be able to put on NFL games. They're on the up.

What happened yesterday shouldn't gloss over a very disappointing campaign. It was hilarious, a great day in isolation, and meant that some of the rifts in the fan base were set aside for a while which can only be a good thing. But ultimately they've still made an absolute balls up of the season.

Hang on might we sign a defensive midfielder and a striker, finally?

Hopefully.

That would be around £85 Million quid if it's Morata and Xhaka, and if the rumoured figures are right.
