Wenger has pretty much confirmed that Arteta will be joining Guardiola's coaching staff next year. Good luck to him. Obviously hard to predict with any degree of certainty but you could imagine the potential for him to be a good coach.

gossip columns today linking us with Daniel Sturridge, I can't think of a more Arsenal type of signing though, he's definitely our type.

be nice to have somebody new to keep Wilshire and Welbeck company though in the physio room next season, they must be running out of things to talk about.

Just going to say that Welbeck and Sturridge front combo could be unstoppable....  :P

a fit sturridge is a fantastic striker, especially for us where we just need somebody to put away the chances

I don't think any club has had a fit Sturridge though and if you couple his reputation of not wanting to play unless 100% with our dodgy medical team its a recipe for disaster.

This is hilariously shit.

I see The Wilsh hasn't developed any brain cells in his absence, still overcommitting and diving into tackles. So much talent, so little footballing intelligence.

edit: also, if Szczesny had the exact same season Cech has had, people would be calling him shit :sherlock:

Odd, I looked this morning as I was considering selling mine and there was nothing available.

Guess that was a supporters club or large corporate booking returning their tickets.

EDIT: That's odd, just one in club level remaining.

I can't wait for this disastrous season to be over.  I hope everyone fucks off as soon as the Villa game is over and leaves the stadium empty so those fucking morons can parade around clapping to about 4 people once they come out for their lap of appreciation.  Whatever people think about the Man City fans yesterday, it sends a powerful message to the management & players that people are not happy.

The last match I attended was the cup loss to Watford.  I refused to waste any more of my time on this lot and I've been lucky enough to sell my ticket for each game since, including the Villa game.

Significant changes need to happen during the summer and I'm realistic enough to know that nothing much will happen.  Bleak times ahead...

My last game was West Ham away and i've sold everything since then too, just had enough. This actually feels worse than the 2009-2013 years (which for me were probably the worst). I guess the progress of the last few years has actually made this (a season we can actually still finish second in) feel like a real waste after last summer's inaction in the transfer market.

I'm wholly convinced we won't finish second, but I also kinda think we'll beat Villa and that Newcastle could get a result. It's an odd one.

It'll be a very odd season if we do get second. Wholly undeserved.

I have zero faith in the team so I can totally understand feeling like that, but surely we will beat Villa. The bigger danger is Newcastle having nothing to play for.

I feel for people taking their little ones in this shitty atmosphere of protests and negativity.

Yeah, we need Everton to behave and get a result against Sunderland tomorrow and put it down to the last day. One would suspect they won't, but fingers crossed I guess.

It does seem like there will be some squad shake up this Summer. Arteta, Flamini, Rosicky all confirmed as leaving and talk of Theo and the Ox off as well. Hopefully some of that spare cash can be used on a new striker.

No-one said Szcz was shit, it was that he was frequently an idiot.

It's bizarre that Cech will probably end the season with the (joint) Golden Gloves, we still have a chance to finish 2nd, Alexis will have scored 17 goals, Ozil will have some sort of unconverted chances created statistics that makes our international strikers look inept and yet somehow this is the worst team anyone's ever seen, Monreal is the worst left-back we've had in a decade according to Alan Davies and we're a "joke club" according to Twitter.

Like I understand wanting more than qualifying for the Champions League and we're underperforming relative to money in and out but Arsenal fans have such a laughable lack of perspective it's unreal.

Those couple of years when Clichy was good he was almost as good as Monreal, but before and after he's never been near. Gibbs has never even looked like he might be that good.

I saw Alan Davies on the way to an Arsenal game on the overground stood near a poster for Alan Davies. Their retoucher did a good job on that one.

Loads of people think Szczesny is shit though.

He's fucking dreadful.  He's the only keeper I've ever seen that constantly puts his own defence under pressure by shocking distribution decisions and utterly awful lapses in concentration.  When he was in goal for us, the back four were always on edge as they were never sure what he was going to do.  I never want to see that idiot play for Arsenal again.
