Nope, not total control.

Going by other recent takeovers I think he'll go for 100% of the shares. If he gets to 90% then the other shares have to be sold to him.

My knowledge on this area is a little hazy, but I understand that if he obtains 30% of the shares (either off his own back, or cooperating with Dein) Kroenke is obliged to try and buy all the shares in the company.

Well today's game summed our season up. If we can't kill teams off things like this will happen. Spurs played better in the first half but we pissed all over them in the second. The gulf in class was embarrassing and the hush of the Spurs fans showed they knew it.

'The Beast' is one of the worst players I've ever seen. He makes David Hillier look like a world beater! Apparently they are funds if Wenger needs them. For fucks sake PLEASE sign someone who can put the ball in the net! If we had a forward to could finish chances we'd have won 4-1 today!

I'll happily take a day off to pack Baptista's suitcases. I'll even drive him the the airport. The lazy useless wanker.

Chin up - Arsenal ladies scored with almost the last kick of the ball in Sweden to take a 1-0 advantage into the second leg of the UEFA cup final.

Just think there are Spurs kids who have gone all through secondary school without seeing their team beat us .... and Bolton and Everton lost, so all is well on the CL qualification front. Would be interesting though if Portsmouth needed a result on the last day of the season to leapfrog Spurs into the last UEFA cup spot.....

Baptista though is a total embarrassment. Eboue not far behind not withstanding the odd useful goal providing cross.

Agreed about Baptista, we've been saying that for months. I can't believe how bad he is, I really can't.

The thing about Eboue is that A. he can't defend and B. he's a cheating cunt. On the ball he's brilliant at times and he's quick. I think he'd benefit from moving to midfield and I'd pay Hoyte at right back.

Yesterday was a gutter, it went the way our whole season has. Still, we took the piss and watching them celebrate at home like they'd won a trophy was amusing. They're a poor side though, not impressed at all.

With Henry and van Persie next season I believe this team can go places, we're on the verge.

In the end like alot of games this season we should have won but with Henry and Van Persie back next year we will be very strong indeed

BTW was reading some statistics today and saw that Van Persie had scored eighteen goals this season i was shocked

I posted the van Persie volley in the Football Thread informal goal of the season. Quite stunning :) .

But I'm struggling to think of many other good goals this season and normally we get hats full of classics. Anyone good enough to remind me of any? Rosicky in the CL was a great strike I guess, and Fabregas last week.

:)

If people dont want to see Arsenal fall into private hands then they should have objected to shares being issued in the first place. It's an inherent risk of that form of fund raising.

Arsenal will be taken over.

If not by Kroenke, by someone else.

Do any other Arsenal fans share my unabashed bitterness?

Best case scenario over the next few weeks:

- AC Milan to win the champions league.

- Chelsea win the FA Cup.

- Man Utd win the league.

On a more positive note, i'm taking my Dad to the Emirates on Sunday, last match he watched live was over 20 years ago, things have changed a bit!

Read in the Guardian today, Billy Gallas has had a row with a youngster (unnamed) and is off to Real for 15m

I see a few papers are talking about him going to Madrid but didn't know it was anything to do with a row. I'd bite their hand off for £15m to be honest.

I would've accepted selling Gallas if we were in for Woodgate (plus some change, ch-ching!) but sadly it wasn't to be.

I don't think Arsenal have publically stated that Baptista is leaving but come on, he's pony and won't be here next season.

Recently it looks like Wenger has been reluctant to put Baptista in (below both Freddie and Diaby in the pecking order) so I would be suprised if he stayed.

That and Baptistas been moaning about the weather and how he doesn't have the time to play his style of football in the Premiership - which is frankly spot on. He's far better suited to La Liga although La Liga requires a deft touch and he's not demonstrated much of that either. I hope for his sake that he finds the form he had at Sevilla.
