in the context of the game though, Bellerin going so late would be of lesser significance than Dier with 15 minutes to go.

Great point for Leicester, ok point for Tottenham, pretty useless point for you guys and I am on board with the general mood in the thread that your title challenge is over now.

We showed some pretty good character to get back into it like that, especially being down to ten men. Not something we see often these days, and that 'useless' point may end up being crucial for us.

The result doesn't help us at all but I would've absolutely, positively 100% taken a draw today so it's churlish to complain too much. Fuck Coquelin though. Also I felt vaguely relived when the transmission cut out at the death (you can infer from that what you will).

Ospina made some good saves (the one in the first-half in particular) but spilled absolutely everything. I don't think he held onto a single shot, did he? At some point somebody following-in is going to take advantage of that.

I agree that you showed character to come back, no question. But even so, Man City can now catch you with their games in hand, you could be 8 points off the top by 7.30pm tonight and Tottenham are, generally, still in much better form than you. A point may be good in the given the pattern of the game, but a win would have put much more pressure of Leicester, knowing they could have 2 teams that could catch them in the next round of games (if they lose tonight).

Yeah, we're not in the greatest position. Still, with teams dropping points all over the place it's hard to predict who will win the title but, obviously, I'd rather it's anyone other than Spurs - and they're very good.

Like many prem fans, if it's not my team that takes it, I'd be happy for Leicester to do it.

Ospina is not a good holder, no.

Yeah, I think we're all Leicester fans this season outside of our own teams. A good result for me this season is Leicester to win the title and West Ham get a CL spot at the expense of Man Utd (though with our games in hand, we're right back in the mix, crazy season that it has been).

I had to listen to it in the car but was pleased when Rambo started on the right.

How did he do out there? I've said for a few weeks that he should be moved out there as those games near the start of the year when he was out there offered us much more 'stability' in terms of holding onto the ball but also in creating space for others. The fact that he scored the first goal today from the position he got in was encouraging for the state of our goal scoring record of late.

I'd keep him there, he has more freedom and his mistakes don't cost us half as much. He is also a better option than Walcott who offers nothing atm. I though Elneny did alright considering. What a game to throw him into. Would like to see him get a couple of games now.

Ramsey was ok on the right, a bit of good, a bit of not-so-good. He was having to drop deep and central a lot, in fairness - he must have covered a ridiculous amount of ground yesterday even by his standards. Elneny did well in the middle, especially given the pace and intensity of the game.

Saw that on the Guardian today. Seems rather disrespectful to me, and a bit embarrassing. Not quite up with our lot hiring planes to fly banners over the stadium but still. I understand the frustration of being perpetually slightly off the pace, in both league places and recruitment, but I think the odds are very much against replacements suddenly bringing you PL and CL doubles; bit more likely that you'd find your very own Moyes I'd say.

I don't really have a problem with the banner -- I don't see how you could convey those 'Wenger Out' views in a more respectful way than that, frankly. On one hand it looks a bit daft rolling it out after a 4-0 win, but on the other hand I guess it shows a consistency in those people's view that they want a change in manager regardless of results now.

My personal view is that if we finish behind Spurs or Leicester, we should be changing manager because there's really no excuse for that. We won't, though. He'll do one more year at the very least.

I agree with all that. Ian Wright seems like good people and I can definitely see his side of it...But he's not exactly someone who tries to look at things from outside.

It's impossible to understate what Wenger has done, he's pretty much not only turned Arsenal into a fully professional modern sports team he's basically taken the whole league there. I also don't think there is a another manager on earth who could have qualified for the Champion's Cup throughout the Stadium Financing Era.

This season has been a complete failure though. It's perfectly possible we can finish above Leicester and Spurs, but it's massively unlikely. It's possible we'll beat Barce, but we shouldn't even have been playing them due to the massive under-perfomance in the group stage. Basically everything that was a good point when we were skint is becoming a bad thing now. Even if we win everything, he shouldn't have his contract extended. When we don't, he should leave at the end of the season.
