I think he's pointing out the fact that you didn't post until you had something to moan about. I may be wrong.

There was nothing to say until we shot ourselves in the foot. Twice.

So we have no goals, conceded 2 away goals and the second leg is pretty much a non-event.

I am trying to imagine Fox's reaction to Flamini.... I am picturing resigned despair.

In all honesty it's not great from Mertesacker in the first place. Per had a good game for the most part but made two very costly errors.

Thought Barcelona were disappointing really, says a lot about our finishing that we didn't score.

Have to agree, don't think that were much better than us, just we gifted them, twice.

Barcelona were cautious but were zipping the ball around for fun and they soon realised we posed no threat at all up front.  After we gifted them the first goal they went up a gear and had 3-4 very good chances to score if it wasn't for wasteful finishing.

Mertsacker made some horrendous mistakes which is why I wished he wasn't playing as I knew he would be the weak point.  Having said that I thought Barcelona's pace would be his biggest issue, it actually turned out his decision making cost him which is what his strong point should have been!  He let us down tonight.

If Flamini never plays for us again it's too soon as he's not just been bad a few times, he's been consistently the low point of every match he's featured in. It's somewhat worrying that he's Ozil's bestest best friend as I don't want a sulky Ozil, but seriously. He's become genuinely the worst footballer I've seen, or at least at this level. There isn't a single possibility that Chambers, Elneny or Bielik could be worse. Hell, bringing on Joel Campbell as a defensive midfielder probably wouldn't have resulted in a penalty in less than a minute.

Apart from that, it was a good game (and a good result if it finished at 0-1), but at least we can concentrate on the league. Maybe try and score a goal at some point too, that'd be fun.

I think we have to remember that this Barcelona team is doing this to everyone, not just us.

We are a tier 2 European team, not a tier 1, unfortunately.

I've got literally no problem with the first one we conceded, ditto the chances at the end of the first half. That's what happens when you play Barcelona, you need luck even if you're Bayern or one of the Madrids.

Giving a penalty away like that is just an embarrassment.
