We have been shit but fucking hell 3 goals from 3 poor decisions.

1st goal offside.

2nd goal long tripped kos in the build up.

3rd goal came from a corner that wasn't.

As I said we have been shit but if the ref and linesmen do their job right and its 0-0.

My son had a bit of an episode tonight after we put him to bed.

He's worried he's going to die, and never see Arsenal play.

I reminded him we're going on Monday, and the 1-0 score line against Soton, as it was at the time, might be different when he watches MOTD tomorrow morning.

Yeah...

and he wants a Petr Cech shirt from the armoury.

Totally different view from me in the stadium. We could have had 6. Will watch the bt stream later to see if what you say is valid.

Edit: oh wait a mo, it's humdrum. Probably not reported as a balanced view. Unlike me ;)

Nah he's right, we were terrible and thoroughly deserved to lose, but there was some iffy officiating on at least a couple of the goals.

The offside in question was a couple of passes before then, so a bit harsh to point to that as a reason for the goal to be disallowed. I'll grant the second should have pulled back for a foul, but the ref had a blind spot regarding koschelny and long, with fouls by both parties not being given throughout the game.

It's Christmas though, so I'll agree that all three were dodgy and we'll just take the 1-0 instead ;)

Southampton did benefit from some dodgy refereeing decisions but Arsenal didn't how up at all and were a shadow of the side that comfortably beat Manchester City. I'm not sure if it was fatigue or they underestimated Southampton but there was only one side who looked like winning for the entire game.

It's the worst I think I've seen us play this season. No one really covered themselves in glory. Some absolutely anonymous performances from Ozil, Giroud, Walcott, Flamini.

In the last Tuesday Club pod cast Alan Davies was saying 'this team does not get beaten 5-0 anymore they're better than that', No Alan we get beaten 4-0.

Referee's decisions aside we deserved to lose because we played like shite.
