Arsenal

Arsenal are a stupid football team, aren't they? If we could just win the matches we're meant to and then make a decent fist of ones against Bayern Munich that'd be fine. But no, we have to stick two goals past them having almost ruined our chances of going through already.

Yeah, more Hector love here. Best right back in the League by a distance at the minute and he's getting better with every minute: he was better against Costa in the second half today.

Özil though: he's unbelievable. A stunning performance again from him.

The awkward thing being that if Bellerin isn't the best in the league at the moment, you'd probably have to give the nod to Jenkinson...

I love Jenks, I even like the hat, but he's a liability. Still think he'll come back to us in the Summer and do a job as reserve for as long as he wants, but he's not up to task as one of the League's best.

Brilliant result. What's the word on Ramsey? Hamstring injury so... three weeks?

PS - Genuinely worried that unless we lock him down now and give him some crazy cash, Barcelona will come back in for Bellerin.

He seems like he'll be less of a tit than Fabregas was. If he's paid as he deserves to be and Arsenal keep doing things like beating Bayern, he'll stay. If we don't do either he might leave, but anyone in the squad might.

Bellerin appears to have broken the sound barrier there and will be answerable to local flight laws

There was one bit earlier on where Per played him in down the line and he beat Alaba to the ball even though Alaba had like a 5 yard headstart.

There's still a reasonable chance we won't go through but I think we're proving to ourselves that on our day we can beat anyone. It's just whether we can maintain consistency into the spring and keep the injuries to key players down a bit.

Presumably Ramsey is gonna be out for at least a couple of weeks, so with Wilshere still not back Ox will need to hit the ground running.

Given Barca just spent £15m on Aleix Vidal who's not even played yet it's unlikely he'll be courted by them anytime soon. Incredible work for the goal last night, the turn of pace - after marking Costa for 94 minutes no less - to make that interception, hold off his man and calmly deliver the ball to Ozil was just exceptional.

Bellerin was outstanding for that goal, the pace on the boy in the 94th minute, to even try and make that interception shows a real desire.

What is worrying though, if Ozil's ball hadn't of gone over the line, is how the Ox missed that. We have seen that far too many times this season, and they are the chances you need to put away.

Ramsey is out for about a month. Hopefully a month means a month this time, not like the pre-Shad Forsythe days of winter 2013/14, when a couple of weeks turned into 3 months. I don't think the decision to start Ramsey and Bale against Andorra looks too clever now, that's for sure, seeing as they both died not long after.

Does anyone know if we have an option to recall Gnabry? He's not really playing much at West Brom and we're getting very light in midfield/wide areas now. We have Rosicky, Welbeck and Wilshere all out until 2016, and Ramsey out until late-November at least. That leaves Coquelin, Cazorla, Flamini and Arteta as our only central midfielders, and Ox, Alexis, Campbell and Walcott as wide options.

What does the starting choices of the Welsh national team have to do with being wise for Arsenal. Seems the right thing to do to me - play your best players. Churlish to criticise that.

They'd already qualified and you know what clubs are like with their high profile players. You'd have thought something could have been worked out where those two weren't involved for the entire thing on that artificial pitch. Real Madrid seem very annoyed. The players are at fault to an extent too of course.

Anyways re: my previous post - add Arteta to the deceased list (again). Awful lot of midfield/wide players out injured now...

What's up with Rosicky at the moment?

No idea. Everyone sort of assumed he'd be leaving, then we decided to take up the option to extend his contract, then suddenly he was dead. Probably just been hitting the beak again.

He must be due a testimonial soon I'd have thought.
