Costa the typical shadow of a mourinho player. Win at all costs. Lie, cheat, never cade about the game itself. Just care about winning.

While he is a reprehensible extension of the Mourinho psyche, what really sticks out is how weak Mike Dean was. He was totally intimidated by Costa, and as the supposed Marshall of the game he was nothing if a little bit cowardly. A terrible performance.

Now for panic at the thought of a lengthy injury spell out for Coquelin, and a spell of Arteta/Flamini 'shielding' our defence

It's a disappointing way to lose, but any professional should be able to cope with Costa being a bit of a dick when it's 0-0 and literally nothing has happened in the game. Costa would have been very unlucky to be sent off for his flailing arm at Kos, although he should have got a yellow at least, but Gabriel deserved sending off for being a complete idiot. Ditto Cazorla who needs even more of a slap.

I'm mildly entertained that Chelsea are "back" for managing to score from a set-piece against 10-man Arsenal. They were nowhere near as good in victory as West Ham or Dinamo Zagreb were.

Coquelin confirmed to miss the Spurs game, and they're being a bit vague about the extent of his injury. I assume we'll get to see on Wednesday whether Arteta-Ramsey is still a viable midfield partnership.

How often do we play Spurs in the league cup? It seems like "as often as possible". It's annoying as we don't get a proper chance to see the youth team getting a real game.

To be fair we've loaned most of the youth players this season anyway. Iwobi is the only one who might get a game but I suspect it's more likely that Campbell will play on the left than him (assuming Alexis is rested).
