Really happy about the Cech signing, it has been a long time since we had a top keeper at the club. Who's next on our list though? It seems we are put off Schneiderlin's price tag. We definately need another body in there.

Hopefully Vidal. He's more a box to box midfielder than the more defensive Coq - but you sense Wenger doesn't care for having too many solely defensive bodies on the pitch.

Someone like Vidal makes sense if Wenger wants to go to a fluid 4-3-3. Three from Ramsey/Wilshere/Vidal/Coquelin/Cazorla depending on fitness/opposition, then three from Giroud/Welbeck/Alexis/Ozil up top.

Would be very odd for Wenger to splash big on a guy of Vidal's age, mind, especially as he has an iffy knee. And if we're sticking with Ozil at No10 in a 4-2-3-1 then I think Vidal (or someone like him) makes a lot less sense really.

He's just turned 28 and offers around 20million are being reported - not extravagant in this market for a player of his considerable quality and drive. Despite us having a wealth of midfielders, most of them are most comfortable higher up the pitch than Vidal. I watched Juve a bit last season and thought him tremendous, he made 28 appearances in Serie A, 12 in the CL so his knee can't be that knacked.

Do you guys think we'll sign Vidal so-soon? (Vidal Sassoon)

I really don't see Wenger signing a player who is currently under investigation for smashing up his car because of drunk driving. It's just not in his nature to sign a 'bad boy' and he tends to get rid of players who are divisive characters these days, so I can see him bringing one in.

Though he would be a fantastic signing. Cech, Vidal and a striker would be superb work.

It was Vidal, some guy saying he fabricated the story. It's still being reported though...

I'm finding it quite hard to get excited for the current transfer talk. If 80 percent of the squad would stay fit for a seaon I think we've got a really good team that doesn't need much (if anything) doing to it. I'd like us to focus our efforts on keeping Theo more than anything..

Just so you know, the whole 'Vidal leaving' story has barely registered in Italy, it's all coming from England (and Marca, for some reason). Pre-Copa America the story was he was going to sign a new contract.

I don't think there is a better way to spend £12m on improving our squad - its a brilliant signing

Its not the norm in football so good to see and worth commenting on Abramovich doing the right by a player who has been very good for Chelsea - they could easily refuse to sell him, uprooting his family and children, and arguably in football terms they've done the wrong thing in strengthening a rival in a position they're weak. its rare to see such a decision and nice to see there is still some decency in a game that is pretty bereft of it.
