Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him at Liverpool, especially if Sterling doesn't sign a new deal.

I'd like him to stay really, but when he's after £100k/week+ despite only being effective in certain conditions, I'm not sure I can see it happening. He's great in terms of end product if you give him space, and he has a good record in big games, but the flaws are obvious: useless against a parked bus, and very poor at helping his full back.

If he wants over £100k/week I'd be stunned if Liverpool showed any interest.

I dunno about Schneiderlin now. Coquelin seems to have got that 'tackles & interceptions' shit in the bag really, even if his passing range isn't great. I wonder if we might not go for someone who can pass through the lines a bit better, which you need in certain types of games, and I dunno if Schneiderlin is that guy. Like, he's better as passing than Coquelin for sure, and offers more going forward, but if Coquelin is sticking around as one of our deep midfield options long-term, I dunno if Schneiderlin is as complimentary as you could get in terms of attributes.

Wish Arteta was 5 years younger, really. :/

Re the fabled "world-class DM" we so desperately need: Coquelin has done really well since he was called back from his loan, but I have a slight concern that people are thinking he's solved the problem. Maybe he'll improve further but he's still yet to be tested in big games against the top sides & I'd still prioritise strengthening in that position in the summer.
