let's see if it turns out to be true??

Probably wont happen to be honest, but I'm sure we've all heard the rumours.

I read somewhere last week that it even had something to do with The Emirates, 'cos they paid all that money to us or something they think they can have a say in what colour our kit is.

Arsenal will sign teenage French striker Gilles Sunu in July after coming to an agreement with his club Chateauroux.

Sunu, the 16-year-old son of former Togo international, Manu Sunu, will cost between £700,000 and £1m and will sign a four-year deal next month when Chateauroux president Michel Denisot meets his Arsenal counterpart David Dein.

It's good for the future that we're buying more quality youngsters, surely this cannot be a bad thing and in time we will see the result of all these kids and surely reap the benefits and once again dominate. I think we will see the benefit of this policy even long after Wenger has gone. this will be his legacy, as is the new stadium.

Wenger has taken, and is still taking, Arsenal as a footbal club to a new level. I believe in the not too distant future we will be up there with the real big boys of football in terms of money coming in, support, worldwide exposure etc. Clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and don't say it too loud but Man Utd.

That said, Arsenal are a big club and demand success every year, we the fans demand that we win a trophy every year. As we know this hasn't happened in the last couple of years but I'm afraid this is a price we needed to pay so we can get to that next level.

Really it's a great achievement that we've managed to even keep in touch (ok barely) with Man utd and Chelsea and keep up with Liverpool and ahead of all the rest.

While we've hardly spent any money in the last couple of years the rest of the premiership, and big clubs in Europe actually, have been spending big, so to keep within reach of these clubs in the meantime has to go down as an achievement of some sort.

I know we didn't win them, but getting to the CL final last year, getting to the CC final this year with the youngsters is surely an achievement. I accept football is about winning and no one remembers the runners up but I think if we had won anything in the last couple of years it would have been a bonus. The main aim surely was and is to qualify for the CL, which we've done and look like doing this year also, possibly in 3rd place, an improvement on last year.

Hopefully this summer we will add 2 or 3 established players to our squad/team and with the already experienced players we have, Henry, Gallas, Gilberto, Toure, Rosicky and the youngsters who are a couple of years more experienced now, Cesc, Djourou, Eboue, Clichy, RVP, Adebayor, Diaby, Hoyte and obviously a few others with a little less experience, Denilson, Traore and Walcott.

Hopefully that means next year will be the first year where the 'new improved Arsenal' can start to mount a serious challenge(year in year out) to Man utd and Chelsea for the PL and also in Europe in the CL.

Is that really what Arsenal need at the moment? Another teenager? I thought Wenger would be saving up his pennies to bring some much needed experience into the team.

yes exactly, i don't see the point in buying more youngsters at this present time, when we have a whole team full of them. we need a big name signing

Not really, considering all that went on. Though it'll definitely affect arsenal more than it will chelsea money-wise..

We have a higher turnover than them. And we're not losing £100mill+ a season. I'm sure we can afford 100k.

Still, I'd refuse to pay it out of spite. But then I'm a selfish prick who can't stand losing to a bunch of cheating, bankrolled scumbags.
