Debuchy is out for about 6 weeks apparently. He's not having a lot of luck, but at least Bellerin seems to be getting much more comfortable.

As crap as it is for Debuchy, it should at least forces Wenger's hand to bring in new defenders. Can Jenkinson not be recalled? He has been having a cracking season.

So the January transfer market then. Are we going to see anyone come in? Arsene has said we will but I think we all know that's no guarantee.

I'm still sticking to my original wish list of one, Schneiderlin. He ticks every single box (and then some) of the type of player we need. I'm probably in a minority but I'd be quite happy to see us spend £40 million on him. Reports today suggest Manu are sniffing about him too which are worrying. Obviously we can't compete with their spending power if they really wanted to splash the cash. However, if true, I'd hope that we make them pay very very dearly for him by offering the absolute most we could.

We've solved the lack of strikers problem caused by Podolski going out on loan by sending Sanogo out on loan to Palace.

Um. We really do need players now.

I mean what are the chances of Wellbeck or Giroud getting injured.....oh wait.

Wenger needs to bring at least two players in this window in my eyes, a centre half and a holding midfielder. Nothing less is going to cut it.

No way we're signing Schneiderlin in January, Southampton are under zero pressure to sell and need him badly.

We'll get a CB and that'll be it I reckon. At CF I think Wenger will be content with Giroud, Welbeck, Akpom, Walcott and Alexis as options. I don't see a great need for anyone there, all the depatures mean is that Campbell and Akpom might get a few more minutes.

Giving a few more minutes to kids that aren't very good isn't going to be ideal when we're chasing points at the end of games.

Looks like we will sign Krystian Bielik from Legia Warsaw. Classic Wenger if it happens.

Schneiderlin in the summer would be awesome. Also I heard Petr Cech might be available. Would snap him up in s second.

Cech conveniently has just won his place back in the Chelsea team, just in time to keep him sweet until the summer. In the summer he'll leave, but it won't be to us, it'll be overseas. Our only chance to get Cech would be in this window where we're no threat to Chelsea at all. In the summer, we could conceivably be.

I’m going to stick this in the Arsenal thread instead of the football thread to see if anyone is interested. Star Streams are open for invites, two per member. I think I pay 7 euro a month, I’ve been a member for about two years. Never had a problem, got it running through my Rasb Pi into my big television. All matches in HD, mostly US or Canadian sources but commentary teams are English.

So if anyone wants an invite send me a PM with the following information (this is from a tweet they sent out): and I’ll send it in.

INVITEE: nickname + email & Country+Currency (Name, e-mail address, England and Sterling, I suppose for the last two)

They said they are processing invites before the 21st of this month. I think you have to pay three months in advance but if they do a runner with your money I’m not to blame! Like I say, I’ve been a member for two years now and never had a problem.

(If I get more that two PMs I’ll pick two at random - Arsenal fans first, natch)
