We've missed some chance conversion up top as well I think, which you can't really attribute to the manager. Cazorla and Oxlade-Chamberlain have missed a lot of very presentable chances this season, Ramsey has stopped scoring after having ludicrously high conversion figures last season, and we've been without a pretty clinical finisher in Fenton.

Good read from Tim Stillman.

Don't necessarily agree with all of it but I think he's got a point with the 'familiarity breeding contempt' stuff. I think Wenger is getting stick quicker and quicker because people are so accustomed to his flaws after all this time that they're generally just fed up with him. I don't think a manager would be getting such ire at this point if he'd only been in the job a couple of years, for instance, especially if he'd won the FA Cup the previous season. It's just natural for frustration to increase and patience to wear thin if the same annoyances keep cropping up, and it's hard to maintain perspective.

The contentious bit of the article is the assertion that no other manager could leapfrog City/Chelsea, given the disparity in resources. Personally I think there might be room for someone like Klopp or Simeone to do it, if they could get the players in to take advantage of their very particular systems. But even if they could, it would probably end up as a bit of a Liverpool/Atletico 13/14 style fluke. I don't think even Guardiola could get us consistently finishing above much richer sides in the league, at least not until they really start to get curbed by FFP.

Long-shot, but might be after two tickets for Saturday's Man U game if anyone has any leads.

@Arsenal_Tickets on twitter is what you need, but you'll have to be lucky, quick and likely to have to wait until Saturday when people start dropping out last minute and need to shift tickets on.

I wish I could share your optimism but I have absolutely no faith that we'll win whatsoever. We couldn't even beat Moyes' shambolic shower of shite & with the way we're defending right now I don't see us keeping out Rooney, RvP, Mata & co. They've got the hoodoo over us good & proper.

(Dying for Welbeck to score a brace, though).
