Cannot believe Ozil is out for 3 months, I mean WTF is going on! I know he wasn't some people's cup of tea, but his touch and passing range is incredible. Played in the right position and not overplayed he would be one of if not the best in the league. Luckily I think we have the depth to deal with these kind of injuries, especially in the creative positions right now.

Could be a blessing in disguise for you guys though.

Hardly. He has been playing very well since the Villa away game.

Our squad is decimated and it's only the start of October. I don't really need to say again what I think of the Club's and Wenger's ambition, but only a fucking idiot would have been happy with our squad when the transfer window closed. We were crying out for defensive cover especially and now look at the mess we are in. How is the squad going to cope over the Christmas period? We are only a few injuries/suspensions away from a proper crisis.

I still can't believe a player like Arteta plays for Arsenal.

Neither can I. What's more baffling is that Wenger saw it fit to give him the captains armband. When he's not even guaranteed a place in the team, why the heck has he been chosen as our club captain? It's not like he's even any good. We don't miss him when he's not playing. We've never missed him when he's not playing.

Could be a blessing in disguise for you guys though. Ozil has been average at best this season but it seems to me at least, that Wenger always finds some way to fit Ozil in to the team even when he's in bad form. Against Chelsea I have no idea how he stayed on the pitch for the full 90. This means more game time for Ox too.

Only his most obsessed detractors would try to spin Ozil being out for THREE MONTHS as a positive thing, come on. He'd had a couple of very good performances coming into the Chelsea game, but was then moved out of the central area for that game again in favour of more solidity in the middle. But even in that match, he was fine in the first half. He just had a poor second half, which could have been down in part to this knee injury.

The only remotely good thing is that it gives him time to rest up, and for the media narrative to move on from utterly incessant Ozil-baiting. Right now it's at an absurd level, to the point where if he doesn't play a 9/10 game he gets absolutely slaughtered. In that sense such a lengthy absence can take some pressure off him and hopefully give him a chance to start afresh. But for the team on the pitch, to not have our most talented and creative player available at all in any capacity until 2015 is nothing short of a disaster.

It wasn't 15 minutes ago, it was when the OX came on at half time. A couple of minutes before my post. Not sure what you mean.

You said, "we've got 5 Arsenal players on the pitch, when did this happen?"

I said, 15 minutes ago, which was the amount of time that had passed since the Ox came on at HT.

I meant when did this happen as in when did we suddenly have all these England internationals, not what was the actual time it happened.

That's why I didn't put a question mark. It wasn't a question as in what time.

Fuck it, salt the Emirates, euthanise the entire squad, burn the manager and his fitness team at the stake and start over. So sick of the pathetic reek of failure him and his glass lames radiate every fucking season for the last decade. Get some big, burly MEN'S MEN in who can put it about, who eat thunder and shit lightning, who cripple anything that dares touch them, and who can take a hit from an RPG and laugh it off.
