Just read this about Ozil today..

covering more ground (over 11kms) than any of his teammates

Which is something that's been said about him on here before, to be fair. Anyway, where did he play today? How was his game aside from a goal and assist lol?

He was pretty good, and linked up well with Welbeck. Moved around a lot across the front line. A lot of people were saying on Twitter it was a return to 4-2-3-1, but it didn't look like any different to the 4-1-4-1 as far as I could tell, it was just Ozil playing where Wilshere had been previously. Cazorla played a bit deeper than usual and didn't come inside so much, I assume under instruction. Some of the link play with Welbeck gave a nice insight as to what could happen with Ozil behind Alexis/Welbeck/Fenton.

Ramsey was pretty awful again. In theory he should have been better with Ozil ahead of him, vacating central space for him to run into, but it didn't really happen for him and some of his passing was atrocious. He's in a bad rut at the mo, make no mistake.

It was heartbreaking watching him today. At one point he mis-hit a crossfield pass so badly it went out for a corner. Guy needs a break.

We actually have just 4 fit defenders.

I think we'll see a seriously weakened team against Southampton.

Ospina will surely make his debut. Other 1st teamers that might get a game are probably Rosicky, Diaby, Campbell and maybe Flamini. Maybe even Podolski to be involved but that's about it.

Where's Zelalem?

Superb movement all round. Great, quick one and two touch football. Excellent pass from Ozil but notice how Welbeck darts for the penalty spot as soon as he realises 'it's on'. Hopefully a sign of things to come. It's good to have a direct striker. Someone who wants to get in the box.

With Ozil, Sanchez etc looking to set him up and him continuing to get in the box it might just work.

Can't wait to see Theo added to the mix.
