I can't help but think we're demonstrating how far Dortmund have fallen by only being two goals down. This has been, occasional blips aside, utterly appalling.

The problem is we seem to genuinely lack a player that wants to take the game by the scruff on the next and turn it around.

the closet we have had to that in this game is The Ox, he seems to be wanting to try and take control of it.

2-0 away to Dortmund isn't the end of the world, the worrying things are

Szczesny has been awful so far this season, I feel like he's going to concede whenever a team get a clear shot on target.

Mertesacker looks like he has the most almighty hangover, his usual solid positioning has been suspect, he looks like he's suffering PTSD.

Arteta is our captain and also a massive liability in midfield, he doesn't have the legs for games of this magnitude.

Ramsey has played terrible football in every game this season, he slows our game down going forward, add's nothing defensively, needs to sort his form out, maybe he's carrying an injury, he looks like he's treading water.

Ozil just seems like his confidence is ebbing away game after game, i don't see where he's going to catch a break at the moment, the fluency in our game isn't good enough to get him going.

The System is terrible, the players we have are like square pegs for round holes trying to play this formation, we need 2 players sitting infront of the back four, not Arteta or Flamini, Xabi Alonso would have been perfect, someone who can pass the ball over 10 yards.

horrible to watch overall, a lot of this is like a mad mans ramblings, i'll try and unpick it and make sense of it when I've had time to reflect on the game.

I don't know as much about football as you lot in here but current form aside, would we be more effective with Özil at 10? I think many have said it but why pay so much for a player if you're not going to play him in his preferred position?

It just feels like there's so many things not right with the team at the moment.

He's playing like shite is why. We all love him, hoe could you not, but his overall performances this season have been consistently poor.

I swear he scored a last minute winner again Palace. I must have a different concept of poor performances. I haven't watched the last two games so am not best placed to comment on form. Just all sounds a bit scapegoat to me. Ramseys development from shite player to regular goal scorer has been incredible.

Man can play like shit but still score winners and we can be cool with it. Not denying the incredible development, but he's been toss so far this season.

Let be honest, who does this 4-1-4-1 actually suit?! Can't come up with anyone, so why does wenger persist with it!! We should be kicking on from last season instead we are much much worse and the manager is 100% to blame

Wilshere?! He benefits from playing further forward but it's to the detriment of Özil & Ramsey's effectiveness as far as I can see. Would love to hear Wenger's thinking behind it because I can't see what the intention is at all.

I really think you've got to put Sanchez and Ozil where they want to be and work out the rest of the formation from there. I can understand wanting to make a formation that benefits Wilshere, but I think a large part of Ramsey's problem is that Wilshere is a distraction.

----------Welbeck

Sanchez---Ozil----Wilshere

---------------------------

-----Ramsey--Arteta-------

We played pretty well against City at the weekend, it really makes me wonder if fitness has a lot to do with some of these poor performances when we have 2 games in a week. I really don't see the point in having good squad players like Rosicky, Podolski and the Ox and persisting with the same team and not rotating. Same with playing Ramsey and Wilshere in the same team to the detriment of Ozil. There are enough games for them all to play if rotated properly.
