Would be amazed if we didn't do them comfortably at home, even without Arteta and Ramsey.

I think we're seeing a lot of hangover here from guys getting played to death last year. You can tell some of them aren't on proper fitness programs yet and are behind (Giroud looks well off the pace, for instance), but there's probably not a lot we can do when we played some of them 50+ times and then they had World Cup games after that.

Awful playing surface didn't help too, of course.

So, what's the deal with Tom Fox leaving Arsenal to join Villa? I guess the job he is being offered at Villa (Chief Executive Officer) is a step up from being Chief Commercial Officer at Arsenal but it is surprising that we are able to take him off of your hands. What do you guys think of him? He doesn't appear to have put a foot wrong in his five years in Islington.

Obviously we're still languishing behind the commercial behemoths, but that's always gonna happen. He certainly helped improve us a lot in that department over the last couple of years.

Madrid confirming Di Maria and Khedira want to leave, obviously in an attempt to get an auction going. I think we should go in for Khedira (whether we previously tried to or not).

Arteta and Flamini are on the wrong side of 30 and I'm not convinced Jack can put in the level of performances needed on a weekly basis. I'm convinced Wenger will be looking to replace one, if not both of Arteta and Flamini next summer and I doubt anyone better will become available.

I can see Khedira ending up at Bayern.

With Kroos leaving and Martinez injured and probably out for most of the season they would be mad to not go for him. I thought he would end up at Arsenal prior to Martinez getting injured. Shame really as he would be a great signing.

I bet Di Maria will end up at Utd.

Hope Di Maria ends up at Utd because he'll cost a bomb and like Mata he solves absolutely none of their issues.

I dunno why Liverpool want Balotelli, he's a risk that they surely don't need to take when they have Sturridge. I previously said I'd be happy for us to take a punt on him, but that's because we only have Giroud, Sanogo and the theory of Alexis as our CF options! If we had someone as good as Sturridge I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

Not sure where the confusion lies, Man City have Aguero, Jovetic, Dzeko and Negredo. If anything Arsenal are the anomaly here.

Sturridge can't play every minute, he won't always be at his best and need substituting, and at times i'm sure Liverpool will play with two up, having two top strikers doesn't seem at all strange to me.

We also looked at our best on Saturday once our target man came on in support of Sturridge. It's not a case that it will always be one or the other.

He is mental though. Personally, I find his particular brand of lunacy endearing, but it's not hard to imagine him threatening the harmony amongst the squad.

And if Sturridge gets injured?

I'd say another striker was a big requirement for Liverpool, as Sturridge, Lambert and Borini (if he's still about at the end of the transfer window) are they only actual strikers in that first team squad. You only have to look at last season to see that gaps when Suarez and Sturridge were there. Need to change the game let's bring on Aspas!

Can't wait for mad Mario to spark out Brenda on the training ground.

Is everyone feeling good for the game tomorrow? I genuinely don't have a clue which way it will go... Santi has looked anonymous for the last couple of games and Giroud looked really off against besiktas. I believe Joel Campbell deserves his chance but I get the feeling that he's being held back to use as part of a transfer deal after Wenger didn't bring him on, on Tuesday. Fingers crossed that the extra rest time for Ozil and the BFG was the right move and they make an immediate impact.

Interesting point about Campbell not being involved so as not to crock him - Tim Payton just mentioned on twitter that Podolski has gone dark on twitter too, which is very rare for him.

Today is all about picking the players that look in best shape in training as we've looked a bit flat and lacklustre so far, and all that matters early is not losing ground and playing catch up.
