My mum used to think nonce was a synonym for numpty or something. I had to break it to her when she playfully referred to her own brother as one around the table one Christmas.

Then she broke it to you that your uncle fucked kids.

Just got my tix for palace and happily the pick your seats is back up and working on the box office, it seemed to come and go last season.

Wonder why we didnt go for lukaku (or any other team bigger than everton) - i think he is a good un and somebody will be doubling everton's outlay for his services in a year or two

I don't think he'd do anything much for us. Better than Sanogo, sure, but I'm inclined to think that he's never going to get much better than he is now and he's not a £28m striker now.

Yeah I really don't think he's good enough for where we want to be. As I said in the other thread, his ball control and technique are bollocks and that's always going to be a limiting factor on his game. Everton are unlikely to lose money on him though so it's a decent enough deal for them.

Doubt Mourinho would have sold Lukaku to us anyway, I mean it makes sense not to sell to rival clubs and I wish we had been doing that for certain players the past few years. Love the way Mourinho has a little moan about FFP at every opportunity these days.

yesterday was as good as you can get in a pre season game, nice run out, no injuries (apart from stories of Diaby needing a scan on something that happened before game) and a nice combination of fringe and first teamers all looking decent.

Sanogo has that bambi, kanu, diaby thing going on with his legs, stuff happens around him and doesn't always look like he has a clue what is occurring - as best evidenced by him falling over running to celebrate his 4th goal. I can see there is something there, the FA cup final changed when he came on and for a brief few mins til Ozil fluffed a pen he was terrorising Bayern Munich in that home leg.

Campbell looks an interesting prospect and to coin one of Arsene's fave phrases, is like a new signing, on evidence of WC and couple of glimpses I've seen of him he's a far better bench option than the likes of Bendtner ever was.
