Tbh after the amount of stress he seemed to go through at the end of the season I'm really happy to see him relaxing. Having said that of course, I would hope his minions are frantically working away in the background sorting deals out..

Alexis is coming, the ever reliable goal.com said so.

Nah ok they're not reliable at all, but Kike Marin reckons it's happening and he was legitimately first to break a few things last year.

edit: Gianluca DiMarzio thinks so too and he's also fairly reliable. I'll only get excited if Ornstein says it's on though

As much as swap deals never happen, that is a very sensible one. Sanchez is probably better than Suarez at the role they were making Suarez play last year.

Whilst he's obviously a good player, I'm not totally sure he's what we need, but obviously I'd rather we signed him than anyone else in the prem.

He'll never stick his neck out on conjecture and speculation from shady sources though, that's not his deal. He's basically there for semi-formal confirmation of real news when the club want him to know it (though they can of course easily feed him false info too, if that's in their interests).

Anyway I just wanna check you've all stuck a least £20 on Alexis to Man City. It's for the best.

Im not sure its just Ornstein who you should be following but generally any BBC reporting on transfer matters is usually concrete, I cant recall a story on the site that never went through once it was published there.

Where would Sanchez play in the Arsenal system?

Where ever the fuck he wants and I'm fine with that.

As for Ornstein, yes as he's BBC he only publishes stories that are basically done, but on twitter as the windows close he's usually the first to break genuine stories and often reveals concrete info way before anyone else. He's also always bang on. Can't remember a time when he said we were in for someone in the early stages of a transfer and then it didn't happen.

IF Sanchez came then he'd start the season wide right and would primarily play there until Walcott is back up to speed, which could take a while. After that I dunno, I can't recall ever seeing him play wide left but it would be worth a try, perhaps rotating positionally with Ozil. He's perhaps a bit too small to play centre forward in England but again, it's worth a shot.
