Can't remember the last time I have seen a penalty retaken for encroachment. its gone the way of the foul throw.

I remember a game between Posh and Millwall a few years back where Millwall were given a shit penalty. Keeper saved it, encroachment. So they retook it and missed again and it was called back AGAIN. Then they scored. Bitches.

And yeah, great stuff today, pretty massive given it's our last real hope of a trophy for another year and it would just be so nice for people to shut the fuck up about how long it's been since Arsenal have won something. We get it. It's worth it almost more for that than actually winning something.

And that fourth goal was a lovely thing

The Everton equaliser was a great example of my hatred of "shooooooot". The chances of long range strikes going in are slim normally, but made even more so when the opposition has players in the way. Had Arteta (I think) not decided to take a pot shot under the crowd's instructions, the possession wouldn't have been lost and they wouldn't have gone up the other end and scored.

I know fans grow tired of the Arc of Frustration but us having the ball and not doing anything with it is substantially better than us not having the ball and conceding.

Incidentally, I smuggled my Everton-supporting housemate into the ground and he had to constantly be reminded how delighted he was supposed to be when his team fell apart at the end.

That Ozil gif is what separates good players and great players. Knowing and anticipating where other players, opposition players too, are and will / should be before you've even received the ball. Knowing what your options are gonna be and what you're going to do before you even get the ball.

That's what separates world class players from very good players. World class players like Ozil, Hazard, Iniesta, Xavi, Bergkamp & Scholes to name a few.

Edit: can't believe I forgot about one of my favourite players of all time and one who deserves a place at the top end of any list of great world class players. Zizou of course.

love that about half way though the gif you can see ozil tell giroud where to run :)

Can't help but feel he's gesturing to Rosicky where to play the ball. Regardless, great vision and awareness all round - shame that GIF misses out Santi's stunning pass to start the whole move off.

You may aswell book the open top bus parade

Not taking anything for granted yet, especially after the Carling Cup final against Birmingham.

I do think though, that if Arsenal do win it, there will be some who only see that we beat Wigan and Hull/Sheff Utd rather than the rest of the teams we faced, i.e. Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton, its not exactly been an easy route to the Semi-Finals, aside from the match against Coventry (and I don't mean to sound disrespectful towards Coventry there)

I'd just assume they were an idiot, like those who go on about the drought at every single opportunity.

Also, what a line-up of teams. The second most successful FA Cup team, the current holders, a team from League 1 and a team that (a quick search on Wikipedia suggests) haven't been in a semi-final (not including play-offs) since before WW2
